How fun it was to watch Austin and band @greatblackswampband rock The 44 last night! Running into about 10 former Kellis kids was icing on top of a great evening. Photographs coming soon! #music #metalmusic #alumni by @kellis_media_arts
Quite possibly the last “What makes me smile” wall I will put up. Every year, for the first few weeks, I put a bulletin board up with pictures and certificates about my life. I feel it helps my students see me as a human, before they see me as a “teacher.” You might recognize a picture of YOU on my wall... over the years, I’ve taught so many special students... I’ve been given the opportunity to take many of their senior portraits as well... they ALWAYS make my wall! Please note, there isn’t enough space for me to post pics of all my student smiles… know I loved you… know you still are in my heart! by @kellis_media_arts
Just ordered a Funko of myself… figured my students could use a fun target! 🎯 @originalfunko by @kellis_media_arts
I thought you’d like to know I haven’t stopped being me, just because I left Kellis! I’m not sure if it means they like me or hate me, but I raised a lot of money for our PTSO by letting my students pie me in the face for a $ lol! I am NEVER growing up - though I may be growing older… 59 years young on the 27th of December! I miss you Kellis, but I am enjoying my new home… near yours. #teachersofinstagram by @kellis_media_arts

Pt 2: The walls of Country Meadows bring my heart such joy! Teacher there, I walk the halls and see names that bring such fond memories! If you see your name - put what you’re doing now, what grade you’re in, married? @peoriaartsed @peoriaunified11 @countrymeadowsvipers by @kellis_media_arts
I may not be at Kellis anymore, but I brought my music to Country Meadows. I have morning playground duty, and I’ve played many different instruments in the morning for the kids. This Friday, I surprised them by getting there early and setting up a little drum kit… needless to say, I was a sweaty mess, but filled with smiles and laughter! by @kellis_media_arts
Here’s an animation I created to@introduce myself to my new 7th grade students at Country Meadows next year. Some of you may not know my background- this gives you some idea about my life. by @kellis_media_arts
I took my dad to the #clearwatermarineaquarium yesterday for Father’s Day. I haven’t been there since I was a kid. It is famous for being the inspiration for the “Dolphin Tale” movie. Here’s some video from our day. #florida #dolphins by @kellis_media_arts
