This cedar Pan-Abode had great bones and plenty of character, but drafty walls and original windows that were ready to be replaced.

We upgraded the home with better insulation, air sealing, new windows, and weather protection—bringing it from roughly R-3 to around R-20 and making it far more comfortable and efficient.

Covering the original cedar is never an easy decision. We always try to respect the character of these homes while helping them last for the next generation.

For the exterior, we chose natural patina Corten steel for durability, fire resistance, and a finish that will age gracefully over time.
