First time Elsa has taken a toy away from Bobby while he's been enjoying himself. And first time they've argued over a toy together 🥹

And yes our dogs do get our old slippers in the toy box because it gives them an outlet instead of our shoes. by @kelly_cavapoos

Elsa makes me proud every day. Today marks the first day she's tried to take something i was holding and using.

She took a shine to my knitting needles, and while I would normally really deter her from taking something she shouldn't have, it was a huge milestone in her confidence, so I played with her a little while she let me.

And to be honest, if she did manage to take one and run away from me and break it, I wouldn't be mad at all. Because this is her first time living. First time living pain free, in a home that truely cherishes her and loves these little moments we get with her. Because someone didnt see how truely special she is, and she'll never have to feel that way again. by @kelly_cavapoos

In this heat it is so important to look after our furbabies 🥵

These two love frozen yoghurt mixed with peanut butter or fruit.
I've even frozen some home made chicken broth with some treats.

Today we decided to try apple bobbing with frozen pees to cool the water.

Bobby, being the mischevious pup he is, dove strait in, happy to dunk his face in the water. Given the chance he would splash away at his water bowl all day long (which is why they now have a coned spaniel bowl so he cant do that anymore, I know, we take the fun out of everything).

Elsa ... not so much. I got that look of "You want me to do what? Rude"

Elsa doesn't like water play, or baths, the hose, or the sea. So we adapted to her comfort level and removed the water from hers leaving apple and frozen pees which she loved.

And now, as Bobby has been distracted by a barking dog outside, I'm watching from a distance as Elsa keeps sneaking over to Bobby's unattended bowl to pinch more apple as he has removed most of the water standing in her way 😅 she may not like water, but she's taking small, cheeky steps. And we love it!! by @kelly_cavapoos

Bobby would like to wish his Mum Elsa a Happy Mothers Day.

Safe to say I think he absolutely adores her.

1 whole year of Elsa! Look how far she has come!

Today marks the year mark of when we went to pick up Elsa from her previous owner. She was no longer able to look after her due to a family medical emergency that was going to take up more of her time.

Elsa never once cried when we took her home. She simply slotted perfectly into our lives. She layed on hubby's lap on the drive home and made herself comfortable on the sofa immediately. Like she belonged, and she knew it.

Upon collection of her it became apparent she hadn't been looked after for quite some time. Despite having been shaved down to practically her skin (and supposedly having a bath), Elsa came to us with severely matted paws, grazes all over her body from her short haircut, and her belly covered in what looked like months of dirt build up. Not to mention the surprise of how old she actually was, which was 9 and the fact she had no vaccinations.

An emergency spay (within two weeks of having her!!) And some dental work later, she is an great health.

It is a strong reminder that although she came from a breeder, where we asked all the right questions when we got Bobby and got all the right answers, although she looked well looked after and groomed on the day we visited Bobby as a puppy, you don't always know the condition some dogs are kept in behind closed doors. People are very good at hiding things.

We are forever grateful that we are an impulsive couple that said yes to taking her within less than an hour 😂 we honestly can't imagine our lives without her. And Bobby sure likes that his mum is here too 🥰

Friday snuggles with mum 🥰

I love how these two aways want to be on someone's lap. Today they have taken one leg each. Who needs a blanket eh? 😂 by @kelly_cavapoos
