🎥 Leaning Out Diaries | Episode 1

If you’re looking for proof that it’s never too late to become the strongest version of yourself, I hope you’ll join me on this journey.

Nine months ago, I committed to getting stronger—not just smaller. My trainer always says, “We train differently,” and he means it. These workouts aren’t easy, and they’re definitely not for the faint of heart.

For the last four months, we’ve been intentionally building muscle instead of chasing the number on the scale. Every rep, every set, every challenge has been preparing me for this next season.

Now it’s time to lean out and finally reveal what we’ve been building.

As I make my way to 62, my goal is to step on a fitness stage in the best shape of my life—not to compete with anyone else, but to become the healthiest, strongest version of me.

I’m learning that strength has no age limit. It simply requires consistency, commitment, and the courage to keep showing up.

🎬 If Netflix did a documentary on surviving my trainer…

The footage would include a lot of heavy breathing, questionable decisions, aching muscles and me wondering why I signed up for this. 😂

But here’s what the cameras would also capture…

Nine months of showing up, getting stronger and discovering I’m capable of more than I believed.

By the end of every session, I’m usually slumped over wondering what just happened. 😅 But I wouldn’t trade my trainer or this journey for anything.

Growth rarely feels comfortable while you’re living it; but one day you look back and realize it changed you.

To every trainer who pushes their clients beyond what they think they can do… thank you.

Here are the stats… but let me be real—direction changed everything. That’s my bottom line!

I stopped guessing and got guidance. No quick fix, pills, injections, etc… hard work and sticking to a diet plan. It’s the same thing everyday and I’m ok with it. Consistency!!!

My secret weapon= A good trainer + proper nutrition + consistency = RESULTS 💪🏽

Don’t just work hard… work smart.

This is what ‘whatever it takes’ looks like

It’s not always pretty. It’s not always graceful. And some days? You might end up sliding off the machine 😅

But that’s what hard work looks like.

Growth doesn’t just happen in the gym: it happens in your discipline, your consistency, your choices outside of it too.

I’m being pushed in ways I didn’t expect and I’m learning to embrace the burn instead of running from it.

Do I want results faster? Yes. But I’m committed to the process.

So whether you’re just starting… or starting over… show up anyway.

There’s something about being a content creator and a believer…
because lately, God hasn’t just been sending me to events and He’s been using me before they even start.

On my way to NYC Nights, I found myself already evangelizing… camera rolling, conversations flowing, no script… just obedience.

And what stood out to me wasn’t just what was said about my Pastor PD…. it was the Word.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not personality that draws people… it’s the Word PD delivers.

That’s what people are traveling for. That’s what’s making us believe again. That’s what reminds us God is hearing us… and answering.

And honestly? It’s not just changing how we see church…
it’s changing us.

I’m just grateful God is letting me capture it all as it unfolds. 🎥✨

Last week was a reminder of why I love what I do.

From traveling to New York on Wednesday for NYC Nights to showing up again Sunday morning to serve, this wasn’t just about creating content—it was about commitment, sacrifice, and purpose.

Grateful for a team that’s willing to give their time and energy to something bigger than themselves. In the middle of the long nights and early mornings, we didn’t just create—we grew stronger together.

This is more than content. This is community. This is ministry. This is CHANGE.

Looking forward to what’s next.

Learning how to eat more has been harder than the workouts…
but I can’t grow if I keep holding back.

My body has been screaming for more food; but I’ve just been too afraid of losing my gains… I don’t want bulk but I do want more defined, bigger muscles which can’t happen without more FOOD!

So yeah, I’m hitting the 6 meals a day, to include that preworkout 150g of rice that I’ve been afraid of 😳 starting … starting TODAY!!

He’s got me this far… so I’m choosing to trust him and this process
