FIRST 42K rollercoaster ride DONE! 🎢

my goal was simply to go sub-5 especially with this course’s elevation gain and really started running only 5 months ago so i wanted to be "realistic"

and then we hit 3:52 in @sydney_marathon (in one of my favorite places) which makes it worth it (SINULIT) haha

Last minute/on the day of, I fully trusted my body and the training Ive put in. Thank you coach @sky_jettt for seeing it first!

Biggest takeaway: be less realistic 🫡

Rewinding the burn ~ where every moment outdid the last (˶◜ᵕ◝˶) ...and a thousand memories stitched into one by dust storms, sunrises, art creations, wanderers, and dreamers.

)'( I’ve always felt a pull toward figures of surrender - first the Oblation at UP, a figure of selfless offering, and now Burning Man, where we give ourselves fully to something larger than us. Different worlds, same essence.

31 hot take: We're all just waiting for someone to create a space where it’s okay to be delightfully weird 🍎

Easily one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had ^^

I felt like I was seven again. Actually…
I am seven years old, just with 24 years of experience

My first birthday back in the Philippines in eight years made it even xx special. After figuring out life on my own in the States it felt really good to come home and just feel at home

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the fun these past months and years. And esp to my beloved @jeriksantos for supporting my last min crazy ideas and somehow helps bring them to life 🤍

Collecting everyone’s phones at the door was a fun little experiment. Funny enough no one seemed to miss them. Not long people were talking for hours, painting, giving each other fake tattoos, dancing, sharing music, and completely losing track of time.. just for precious five hours 🪭 by @kellygwayne

1:57. first official half marathon 🎊

i’ve done some 21ks in training for sydney and thought i knew this distance… apparently i did NOT.

lost my appetite for food and sleep the day before, so i showed up running on empty 😟

i hit a wall at 7k. another at 18k… by 20k my left leg was done and people around me were starting to walk. thankfully i had an archive of happy trail memories to pull from, so i just imagined we were all playing and hopping around 😭 haha it helped a lot!

mentally the most challenging run i’ve done. but i had one job: keep up with coach @sky_jettt who stayed consistent and completely nonchalant, as if this was just how it’s supposed to be 😆

if you think you can’t... it’s ok. Maybe you really cant haha but maybe you can?! so DO IT anyway. Your body knows more than your mind does, surprisingly!

KAOGMA has been celebrating the soul of CamSur since 1989 🪅

i came here not knowing what to expect and left with a hundred memories, reconnected through Filipino music and met the sweetest people i won’t forget. beyond what i imagined. can’t wait to be back! @kaogmafestival @visitcamsur

i used to think needing variety meant i was indecisive.
