Life got busy and I forgot to post my recap of our final day in NOLA!! I felt like I had to get this up before I could put up anything else and I was stuck. Anyone else ever do that? 😂😂 Well here it is!! We celebrated our final full day with @amandaasw28 ‘s birthday! A great brunch in a beautiful garden patio, a trip on the ferry to see some cute houses and enjoy a local pub, a tiny bit of gambling at the Caesar’s Casino, a quick pop in to the rotating Carousel Bar, and ended with dinner at the @nolavampirecafe ! Perfect last day to a great trip!

New Orleans Day 4! We had a relaxing day at the pool at our hotel. It was the perfect way to cool off. Then we checked out the St Charles Street Car which is the oldest continuously operating street car in the world!! It was fun and the houses along the route were incredible. We stopped and checked out Beyoncé’s old house which was stunning. Then we got dinner at @acmeoyster which was a spontaneous decision that ended up being fantastic. We finished our night singing karaoke at @catsmeownola which was so much fun (except for the host that had to sing in between every singer. 🙄)

New Orleans Day 3 (aka my birthday!!) I already shared a few photos on the actual day but here are a few extras that I didn’t share. Started the morning by taking a walk with @hippiebff to get my free birthday @starbucks but little did I know that was a a cover so that they could decorate the room while we were out! I was so surprised and so happy when I got back! Then we took another walk around the French quarter, everyone got a reading from tarot card person but I wasn’t feeling it so I skipped it. We got a treat at @abbottsfrozencustard and then checked out the Bruckner Mansion and walked through the Garden District a bit. We ended with a delicious dinner at @seawitchnola. I’d say it was an excellent birthday!

Day 2 of our NOLA adventure! Started the day with a delicious brunch at @brunchwithruby then explored around the French Quarter, popping into the National Park Museum, an adorable store called @cmereneworleans, visited Jackson Square and then the French Market. We ended our night with fun wigs and did a bad bitches ghost tour from @ghostcitytours and our tour guide was so great, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and just the right amount spooky. At the end of our night at the hotel a wedding was ending and the florists were walking by with flowers and gave us a bunch each when we told them it was our birthdays coming up! Perfect end to the night and start to our birthdays. 😆

Some never before seen photos from my solo Lisbon Portugal adventure last year. I figured before my next trip I’d share some photos from my last one that I have been holding onto.

Starting with this one on the “Green Street” a cute little decorated street. A fellow traveler saw me trying to take photos of myself and offered to take them for me. I love how this one turned out.

Today is 8 years since we lost Mom. Today @awholeworldoflove and I honored her by spending a day together in the city. We went to a cafe and enjoyed lunch followed by a delicious cocoa from @glacenewyork. Then we went to the @guggenheim which was designed by Frank Loyd Wright, Mom’s favorite designer. Surprisingly, we had never been there before and I don’t think Mom had ever been there either. We enjoyed the exhibits from Carol Bove and Gabriele Münter as well as a few others. It was so nice getting to spend the day together getting to enjoy this day with each other, smile, laugh, be inspired and connect. I love you Er and as long as we have each other we will always be able to keep Mom alive in our hearts and memories. ❤️
