A few months ago, I landed my dream job as Lead Shelter Associate at @catadoptpdx!🐈‍⬛😻🐱 I help care for the cats, facilitate adoptions, and work on improving practices all around.

To say that I am beyond grateful for this job is an understatement. The cats, people and mission of the organization is everything I have ever hoped for in a career. I care so much about every single cat that comes through our door, and aim to pair them with the best-matched adopter based on the cat’s personality and the person’s home life.

I love this place and our cats with all of my heart, and every day is a dream😸 These photos are some of my favorite adopted cats so far! So thankful that they are in their furever homes and for this amazing, fulfilling opportunity 🫶🏻 by @kellynichols_

champions babyyyy!! my monday night soccer team won our championship game last night and i could not be more happy about scoring the winning penalty kick 🥹

i honestly never thought i’d be able to play soccer again but the body is a miraculous thing. it can heal and it can bounce back from a lot of setbacks. i’m so lucky to have found a fun and supportive team and i can’t wait for the fall season🍁⚽️ by @kellynichols_

a small ceremony with family is exactly what we wanted and we’re so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing people. more photos to come, but here’s a few from the best weekend we could have ever dreamed of! 🖤

exactly a year ago today, mason and i had one of the best days of our lives in portland and the mountains surrounding the city. we constantly talked about living there since that day. he left this past weekend to go to alaska for five months, but i can’t fucking wait for him to meet me in portland once those few months are over. i already miss him very, very much, but days like this make it all worth it. by @kellynichols_
