Ollie (Oliver), all my mom and I knew after leaving Ridglan Farms was that you were 4 years old and born sometime in April. I chose April 18, 2022, as your birthday because that was the day my mom and I stood at the fence line, begging for the release of you and the thousands of other beagles trapped inside.

We recently learned something unbelievable.

Thanks to a data analyst who uncovered birth dates, family connections, and so much more about the Ridglan and Envigo beagles... April 18 really is Oliver’s birthday.

Without even knowing it, we spent Oliver’s birthday fighting for his freedom.

Today, Ridglan Farms is shut down and Oliver is safe from that hell hole.

Penny update: Penny is getting used to this big world a little more each day, but sometimes we take one step forward and a few steps back. Whether it’s a motorcycle driving by during a walk, loud kids outside, me having to leave for work, or refusing the medication that’s meant to help her anxiety, it’s all part of the process.

Every day I learn more about her, and every day she grows a little closer to me and her family. After spending the last four years at Ridglan Farms, Penny deserves every opportunity to experience the life she was denied for so long.

From Ridglan to Riches ☀️

I hope Penny’s story has opened some eyes to the reality behind places like Ridglan Farms, the breeding, animal testing, and the lives these dogs were forced to endure for years.

Penny spent 4 years knowing nothing but a cage and being used for breeding. No dog should have to live like that. And no matter how much work, patience, accidents, fear, or healing comes with rescuing dogs like her, they deserve a life worth living. They deserve grass under their paws, safety, love, comfort, and the chance to finally just be dogs.

It should have never gotten to this point. But I’m grateful Penny finally has the opportunity to experience the life she always deserved. ❤️

This is Penny (Penny Lane). She is 4 years old and had never felt grass beneath her paws or the warm sun on her fur. For over four years, this beautiful soul lived in a cramped crate among 2,000 beagles. On top of that, she was forced to give birth to litter after litter of puppies to be sold for animal experimentation. So today, I’d like to wish my sweet girl a Happy Mother’s Day ♥️🐾 by @kellys
