✨ Curly Cut & Style ✨

Defined, bouncy curls with beautiful movement and shape!! This cut is all about enhancing the natural curl pattern while keeping the ends light, fresh, and full of life. 🤎

Styling advice:
• Apply curl products to soaking wet hair to encourage curl clumping.
• Use a lightweight leave in + curl cream/gel rather than layering too many products.
• Scrunch gently and diffuse on low heat/low airflow or allow to air-dry.
• Once completely dry, gently scrunch out any cast for soft, touchable curls.
• Refresh between washes with a little water and a small amount of curl product—avoid brushing dry curls.
• For this kind of length and definition, regular trims help maintain the shape and prevent the ends from becoming heavy.

✨ MASSIVE COLOUR CORRECTION ✨

From a combination of blue, lilac and uneven tones to this gorgeous, rich brunette 🤎

This was a serious colour correction, and the most important part was rebuilding the colour before going in with the final shade.

🧪 Why I used Davines Finest Pigments in Mahogany to pre-pigment

When taking heavily lightened, porous hair back darker, you can’t always just throw a brunette formula over the top and expect an even result.

The hair was missing the underlying warm pigments needed to support a deeper colour. The blue tones in particular needed to be neutralised — and this is where the mahogany came in.

Mahogany contains those essential red/warm pigments, which helped counteract the blue and replace some of the warmth that had been lost through previous lightening.

Think of it as putting the foundations back into the hair before building the final colour. 🧱

The pre-pigmentation step gave me a much more balanced canvas to work from and helped prevent that dreaded khaki/green looking brunette result.

🤎 Colour correction advice:

• Don’t rush a colour correction — assess the hair’s history, porosity and underlying pigment first.
• Remember your colour wheel: blue is neutralised by orange/warmth, while red is particularly important when you’re rebuilding deeper levels.
• When going significantly darker, think about what pigment is missing rather than simply choosing the colour you want to see.
• Porous hair can grab unevenly, so controlled pre-pigmentation can make a huge difference.
• Always formulate according to the individual canvas — there is no one-size-fits-all correction formula.

This one was all about colour theory, preparation and patience… and the result speaks for itself. 🤎✨
