There is no way to put into words the impact that Shawna left on me. She came into my life at a time when I was lost and needed guidance. She welcomed me into her home (literally indefinitely) and loved me as if I was her own daughter. Shawna taught me how to lead with love and faith, and helped build the foundation for my relationship with God. Both her and Sean taught me how to talk to God and how to pour everything into him. She lived every moment with intention. Your presence is still all around. In your home, in the car listening to worship (and also the occasional Shoulda Lean), and of course around the table laughing and eating. I know you are watching over us forever and always now. Nothing I can say feels like enough. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for leading me. Thank you for grounding me that one time. Thank you for trusting me with the Sauce Piquante recipe. I just feel so lucky to have had you in my life. I hope that I can be a fraction of the mother you were someday. We will continue to live life in your honor. You are truly in the Shawna Leigh House of God now. I love you. ♥️ by @kellysutter_
