POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Taking advantage of the fact that I can still pack my little one up and carry her along the trails. 🌿
(Until she protests…)

I love listening to her little stories and songs right in my ear, watching her tiny fingers point out trees and leaves, and seeing the world through her eyes. These are the moments I’ll miss so much someday!

Motherhood is beautiful, but it’s also easy to lose pieces of yourself in the process. I want to be a present mother who makes memories with her babies AND a woman who continues to chase the things that make her feel alive.

So here’s your reminder that you don’t have to give up your passions when you become a mom. You can bring your babies along for the adventure. 💪🏼

Whether it’s a little walk in the woods or a challenging hike, something big or small, easy or hard… grab those babies and get outside. Make the memories. Keep exploring. Keep being YOU while they grow. 🧡 taken in Mount Rainier National Park by @kelsevrgreen

Oh, to be a little girl frolicking through an alpine meadow… ✨🌲🍂

I think one of my favorite things about being her mother is getting to see the world through her eyes. The curiosity, the wonder, the excitement over the smallest things. She reminds me how much there is to enjoy when we slow down long enough to actually notice it.

Somewhere along the way, we get so caught up in growing up, keeping up, and carrying the weight of life that we forget how to do that. To explore just because. To laugh at the little things. To be present instead of always thinking about what’s next.

I don’t want to lose that part of myself. And I hope I never stop letting her remind me how to find it. 🤎

Some of the hearts who saved me will never know just how much they did.

There were years of my life when I was carrying pain I didn’t know how to put into words. Trying to make sense of feelings I didn’t know what to do with, and navigating so much of it alone.

And through it all, my horses were there.

They just let me be. I could cry, sit in silence, bury my face in their necks, and feel the weight of the world get a little lighter just by being near them.

Their presence was a kind of comfort I desperately needed when I didn’t know where else to put my pain.
They gave me a safe place to feel, to breathe, and to just exist without having to pretend I was okay.

People talk about the healing power of horses, and I don’t think you can truly understand it until you’ve experienced it yourself.

Grace, Tally (RIP), and Scout weren’t just horses to me. They were comfort in some of my loneliest moments. They were a steady presence during years that felt anything but steady. They loved me without conditions, and in ways I didn’t even realize I needed, they helped me survive.

I will never stop being grateful for these gentle giants. They were there for a young girl who was hurting, even when the people around her couldn’t see just how much.

And a big part of me will always belong to them. 🤎 taken in PNW by @kelsevrgreen

The cozy charm of small mountain towns. 🏔️

I admire October because it reminds me that change can be beautiful and painful at the same time.

The trees let go of what they’ve been holding onto, and somehow the world doesn’t end. It just becomes something different.

I’m learning to stop fighting the seasons of my life and just let myself be where I am.

So for now, I’m letting myself slow down. Feel the cold air. Notice the changing leaves. Be present in the season I’m in, even when I don’t fully understand it yet.

It’s okay to not have everything figured out. 🍁💛 taken in PNW by @kelsevrgreen

This is for the beautiful souls out there who are struggling in this big world.
The ones who are just tired.
Mental gymnastics.
Trying to survive day by day.
Wondering why life is so complicated.
Searching for answers.
Working on growth.

Let this be a reminder that you are freaking amazing. You woke up with air in your lungs, legs that can carry you, a heart that feels deep emotions, and a mind with thoughts and opinions that makes you uniquely YOU.
You are never quite alone as you think you are.

Grab a friend, go on an adventure to a small mountain town. Get a coffee. Enjoy nature’s beauty. You got this. 🤍 taken in PNW by @kelsevrgreen

Swipe to see my favorite tiny forest animal.

Someone explain to me why they are so freaking cute? If I had the power, I would be holding and petting one all day. I’d own the crazy chipmunk & squirrel lady title gladly. 🐿️🌲 taken in Mount Rainier National Park by @kelsevrgreen

The start of autumn. 🍂
Meet Grace & Scout — gentle giants with the biggest hearts. Somehow, they’ve carried pieces of my heart when I couldn’t carry them myself. 🤎

Fun fact: Horses can recognize human emotions through our facial expressions and body language. Maybe that’s why they always seem to know when we need them most. taken in PNW by @kelsevrgreen

Ferry to the San Juan Islands. ⛴️

The ocean is so special to me. Being surrounded by the salty air, the waves, and the peace it brings.

The endless horizon has a way of making me feel small in the best possible way. For a little while, my mind gets quiet and I can just breathe.

That’s why I love the PNW so much. We have such a diverse landscape with mountains, ocean, rainforest, and desert.

Makes it pretty dang hard to ever live somewhere else! taken in San Juan Islands, WA by @kelsevrgreen

Let’s be real…life honestly sucks sometimes.

There are days where my thoughts feel heavy and everything just feels like too much. And in those moments, who you have as an anchor is so freaking important.

For me, I don’t know how I’d survive this life without my family.

These three are my safe place. They keep me grounded. They pull me out of my head and remind me that there is still so much good in this life.

I want to give my kids a life filled with adventure, messy hands, big mountains, salty water, spontaneous road trips, and so many little moments they’ll remember forever. But more than any of that, I want them to always know that home is somewhere they are loved, accepted, and safe.

I’m figuring a lot of things out right now. I don’t always know what I’m doing. Some days I struggle more than I let people see.

But then I look at these three and think… this is what matters.

Life is beautiful on the grey and sunny days. Beautiful enough to hold onto the people you love, get outside, take a deep breath, and keep going. 🤍🌲🪵🏔️

Nature is healing, and what better place to be than in the big, lush green forests of Mount Rainier?? 🌲🏔️

I’m so thankful to live in a state full of beauty.

When my head is in a messy pile of depressing thoughts, I try to take a turn and get outside, breathe a little deeper, and remind myself of all the beauty still around me.

My two little ones have a way of reminding me that there is so much to be grateful for. They make me slow down, look closer, and see the world through more wonder. I love bringing them on all our adventures.

And somewhere along the way, I’m finding a little more of myself, too. 😌🍂🌱💛 taken in Mount Rainier National Park by @kelsevrgreen

I’ve been wanting to start this little space for a while now but honestly, I’ve been scared.

Scared of being seen. Of being misunderstood. Of putting pieces of myself out there and wondering what people think.

But I also really want to share.

The adventures, the quiet moments, the beautiful parts of motherhood, the things I’m learning, and the things I’m still trying to figure out.

I want to document this life I’m living. Not just the pretty parts, but the real ones too.

I’m learning that life can be beautiful and messy at the same time. That you can be growing and still have a long way to go.

So this is me starting, even though I’m nervous.

A little journal of my life, my adventures, and the things that make me feel alive. ✨🫶🏼

If something I share makes someone feel less alone, or reminds them to notice a little more beauty in their own life, then that would mean so much to me.

Here’s to beginning. 🤍 taken in Greenwater, Washington by @kelsevrgreen
