For the last 19 years, my Dad has been one of the biggest influences in my life. He was by my side at every elementary school field trip and cheering for me at countless volleyball games. He never failed to ask me how my day was or what I learned at school. I felt at home when I was beside him. He was goofy, brave, supportive, and ever so caring.
I want so bad to hear another one of his stories, laugh at one of his (admittedly good) jokes, and hug him super tightly. But instead, I will just try to honor him and make him proud, as he watches his little girl grow up from Heaven. I knew this goodbye would have to come, but I wish it didn't come so soon.
