Comet Tsuchinshan ATLAS ( c/2023 a3) low on the horizon over the Pacific Ocean.
Last seen from earth was 80,000 years ago, and it won’t come back for another 80k years.
The comet could be viewed til end of this month as it zooms away out of our galaxy.

First time witnessing an annular solar eclipse or the “Ring of Fire”. We did not have any solar glasses to view the sun and this is what my big camera saw. The sun star effect is from the lens at its smallest aperture.

During the eclipse your shadow does not have the sharp edges like it normally would on a sunny day, but instead the edges are blurred out. kind of neat! taken in Utah by @ken.dng

The evergreen state! Lushes green, snow mountain tops, raging water falls, and sandy beaches. Let’s not talk about the moody sky. Washington almost has it all.

Literally waited 3 hours for the sun to retrieve away from the cave to take this shot. This is a short, not so popular hike with big rewards in Sedona AZ. Sedona has become very commercialized in the past years with pay parking, bus routes to hiking trails and ATV tours as the town attracts more and more visitors.
