Thank you @damaris___tx for sending me pictures of that epic night! The night was EVERYTHING. I paired the iconic dress with @parishilton pumps. The second image is Katy Perry’s dad, who saw our getup and took us from our seats to the front of her stage! This concert will always be special to me for this reason!

2006 was the year I began college.
2021 is the year I can expect to graduate with a degree I started so long ago. My abuser graduated in 2011, we attended the same college and I sought out help from UTSA Counseling Services. I was let down and I am asking for insight, help, resources that can allow me to move forward and be free of a GPA impacted by domestic violence. A state school can be intimidating, but so is the evidence I have of their inability to uphold their responsibilities to protect their students, and they did not protect me. Anything will help me and I ask for your support during this time. Thank you.

Truly an experience to witness the magic of Disney. Disneyland did not disappoint. The experience of seeing the magic in the eyes of a child is such a beautiful thing to witness. The show was amazing and I wish I could say I captured the magic, but decided to stay in the moment with my family. Disneyland went beyond my expectations and validated my love for @disney.

Disney will always be my forever home. A few new things I’ve learned after this trip: Texas water tastes better, than Florida water, Hollywood Studios makes decent frozen jack & coke slushies (we had 3 and came home to get Chachos frozen black jacks), traveling with a baby wasn’t so bad, always get the Lightning Lane passes, and have at least 3 back up plans.

Yumi is beautiful and I felt her name did her justice. Another anime name for my dog. I started with Yumi and liked that she is a Shiba Inu with personality. Yumi in #Chobits was kind and loyal. She was understanding of her friends and did what she could to help. Yumi my dog has always let others know that she senses their sadness by giving kisses and, for the most part, is well behaved. I will miss her when it is her time. She is going to be 13 this year. Love Yumi so much! #Yumi #Beauty #Beautiful #anime #Chobits #Manga #shibainuofinstagram #shibainu #dognamechallenge by @kendall_klassic

Named my dogs after anime characters. Mugen is the ultimate badass and he doesn’t listen to anyone’s orders, which was my mistake with this name. Mugen definitely challenges us everyday. He can be very reckless.

Arepa Con Queso: We have made this recipe 3 times and I say WE because John asked for it again, and this time I had him make it. #arepaconqueso has been all the rave since #encanto and the conversation is brought up about the eye-opening revelation.
Columbian Buñuelos: John was so excited for this recipe, since the song "Family Madrigal" and says these are so dangerous, because of how good they are. #ColumbianBuñuelos may not be asked for as much as the other, but still a new favorite!
America enjoys a story about a family in South America going through family drama. One of the most liked characters is a muscular woman named Luisa. You can find dolls on shopDisney.com of Isabella, which was the presumed choice for most children with her beauty. This movie has surprised us all with it's heart and now removed the stereotypical admiration for the "girly girl." I'm part of a Disney Junkie Facebook group that includes members sharing how their sons want to marry Luisa or children are inspired by her. How cool is that?! We know Damon is going to appreciate this film when he is older, but until then I will sing him to sleep with "Two Oruguitas." by @kendall_klassic

Here we are at the end of 2021 and I knew it was going to be my year. I had no idea that I would end the year a mother and I am beyond happy to see the next years coming through. I'm so ready for 2022, but let's not forget all the highlights of this year.
I graduated from ASU in Biology, also made the Dean's list.
We celebrated our pregnancy and prepared his nursery. We also bought a new family vehicle in the process.
When he finally came, I was excited to embrace him.
We took a picture at the pumpkin patch to enjoy the Fall season.
We celebrated Damon's entrance into Catholicism through his baptism on a very special person's birthday.
He has reached 3 months and wearing 9 months clothing!
We celebrated with family for our first family picture.
2022 we are ready for you!

There is a saying that a bond between a mother and son runs deep. My husband had not experienced this relationship and the mother/son relationships did not seem to hold any ideal support from those I had seen in the past. I intend to guide my son with the idea of respect being automatic, especially for women/females. I will expect him to give others consideration and be understanding of those who may appear different than him. I want to treat the bond we have as one that will be the most consistent and honest. I don't know everything and being open-minded to learning more is a quality I hope he also will carry. They say you feel another kind of love when you lay your eyes on your child, this I know to be true.

Damon, I intend to be your guide throughout your life and will always love you.
Love,
Mom

Shout out to @balapat! You have been one of the kindest members in the NBA and I will miss you indefinitely. This picture is from the morning after the @spurs were eliminated from the 2015 finals. I happened to go to @indycoffeeclub that Patty was raving about and had become my "go-to" coffee joint. I had previously met him at an appearance at SACU where I mentioned the coffee joint and we chit-chatted about our favorite coffee orders. When I stepped out of my car, I was slightly mortified not knowing how it made him feel seeing all my Spurs gear on, but he seemed appreciative and took this picture with me. I ran into Patty, along with his wife Alyssa and Harvey quite a few times over there time in San Antonio. You all will be missed and I hope to see you again. Wishing you success in everything you do.

There's a place I hold near and dear, a place I have always found happiness at. This place is designed for the worries to disappear and to reimagine the possibilities.
With 2021 bringing so much happiness into my life, I still hold my goal as motivation. I will find a way to work for this company, for this is the place I belong.
