Mural 1 for @chittumpta DONE ✅ 🎨

This 60 ft x 10 ft cafeteria wall needed a makeover- so we took the Chittum mascot, Chester, and painted him in an underwater adventure!

I quite literally could not have gotten this done in FIVE DAYS without my painting assistants, source of entertainment and emotional crashout support team @just_betz @amy_manuel @aaamyk8

Wow. What an incredible experience I was given by @visitvabeach & @thevibecreativedistrict. This was a whirlwind to say the least, with very quick turnaround, but lucky for them I thrive under pressure 😆🫡

This was such a fun trip, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with. Thank you so much to everyone who helped with this project. Very much looking forward to future opportunities with this crew!! taken in Dilworth Plaza by @kendiiart

Congrats 🎉 ⚡️ 👏🏾 and many thanks to ViBe muralist @kendiiart for representing @thevibecreativedistrict and @visitvabeach in this carefully planned tourism marketing blitz in Philadelphia yesterday! From artwork design on a shipping container, custom step and repeat, and drinking cups, to live painting for a day and a half on a large canvas on site to seamlessly blend into the shipping container wraps, Kendall Snyder travelled from Virginia Beach to New Jersey to Philadelphia and back home on 4 short days after weeks of planning. We love to see our creative community representing VB on a national scale. Thanks to @cityofvabeach and @vabeacharts for their continued partnership! Great job, Kendall!! I’ll be quite honest- walking out in front of a crowd of THOUSANDS of festival goers, I immediately blacked out and didn’t really know what was coming out of my mouth when I was speaking 😅 So if it didn’t make sense, just pretend it did😆

Multiple posts incoming (because the weekend has just begun) but I’m just so excited and filled with gratitude 😭✨

It’s kind of wild watching your manifestations come true and having a full circle moment, especially this one. I’ve been an artist my whole life, and have always felt connected to surf culture and the art scene even before making VB my home well over a decade ago.

I remember living outside of DC and hating my job thinking I just really want to paint and live by the beach. I eventually made the move to VB to start a new life & chase my dreams. I immediately felt connected and knew this was where I was meant to be- my soul found it’s home 🌊✨ I love everything about the festivals, events, people, and told myself that one day my creativity would represent VB somehow, someway.

Maybe it’s finally good karma coming my way, but this year has been wild. I have been so blessed with opportunities from @thevibecreativedistrict @visitvabeach, @chittumpta and now @coastaledge x @supergirlpro.

I am eternally grateful for @dnachnani and the Super Girl team for giving me this opportunity I once prayed for. I feel so connected to this community and that my hard work is finally paying off. It’s so freaking cool seeing my design all over the beach 🥹😭 6 year old me would never believe her drawings of characters and animals would lead her here.

To be the featured artist for the first Super Girl Surf Festival in Va Beach is a dream come true. It’s an honor to have been asked alongside two other incredible women to share our creativity for this event 🫶🏼

A weekend free of commissions = fun painting for myself! 🌊🏝️🏄🏼‍♀️

I had this “ball of summer” idea in my head for a while that I finally had the time to put on canvas. I think it came out pretty decent! I didn’t have a clear vision on this and it was therapeutic to go with the flow and connect all the elements together at the end.

Questions for other artists- is it a struggle for anyone else to go from painting a large scale wall down to a small canvas? It threw me off a bit more than I expected 😅

Mural #3 complete for Chittum Elementary! 😄

This was the final stretch of my mural marathon and boy when I say I was running on fumes...🥲Tired is an understatement!! It was definitely tough but I am soo happy with how this last installation turned out!

I can’t wait for the kids to get off the bus and see Chester welcoming them into the school each morning 🤗

Mural #2 DONE for Chittum Elementary! 🚀

This installation took about three days to fully complete which felt like no time at all after the 60 ft cafeteria wall 😅

Chester’s adventure in space brings so much COLOR & FUN to the hallway leading into the cafeteria!
