This journey was far from easy, but God paved the way for me every step of the way.

First and foremost, I want to thank God for giving me the strength to keep going, even during the moments when I questioned whether I had it in me. To my family and friends, thank you for your endless love, prayers, encouragement, and support. You all believed in me during the moments when I struggled to believe in myself, and for that, I am forever grateful. ❤️

After graduating from Florida A&M University, I knew deep down that I wanted more for myself, but I constantly doubted whether I was capable of achieving it. I went on to serve my country, deployed overseas, and even then, I knew there was still so much more I wanted to accomplish.

I’ve always been my own biggest critic. Sometimes, the hardest person to convince that I could do something was myself. But this time, I wanted to prove myself wrong. I wanted to show myself that I was capable of doing everything I once thought I couldn’t.

In 2025, I took a leap of faith and began my nursing journey. And when I tell y’all it was HARD, I mean HARD! 😭 There were long nights, early mornings, tears, sacrifices, moments of frustration, and plenty of times when I questioned myself. But through it all, I kept showing up. I kept praying, pushing, and reminding myself why I started.

And now, standing on the other side of it all, I can confidently say that every single sacrifice was worth it. This degree means so much more to me than a title. It’s a reminder of my resilience, my growth, my faith, and everything I had to overcome to get here.

If this journey has taught me anything, it’s that I am capable of so much more than I give myself credit for. I’m so proud of the woman I’m becoming, and I know the younger version of me would be proud too. 🥹❤️
