Dear flag football,

I never thought I would have to make this decision this early but things change. I need to put my physical and mental health first above everything. This was one of the toughest decisions I have ever had to make.

Thank you for the lessons you taught me, the late nights, the pain and tears. From playing at the Packers Halftime, the Don Hudson Center, to getting to be Ripon’s first ever recruit it all helped shape me into the person that I am today.

To my high school coaches, thank you for giving me love for this sport. The many opportunities I had through this sport have been nothing short of amazing and I am forever grateful for you. Thank you.

To my friends, and family, thank you for supporting me over the years. Especially to my parents who never missed a game no matter where I was playing. Thank you for all the bus rides, the late night food runs, and all the moments in-between. I will forever be grateful.

To my current teammates, I know you guys will do nothing short of great. Please remember that my decision has nothing to do with you guys. Remember to catch with two hands, run with speed, and to stay away from foam rollers. I will be cheering you on no matter what and I am always a phone call away.

Thank you flag football for everything, I will miss this chapter of my life but I am excited for the opportunities that lay ahead for me.
