For as long as I can remember, this game has been a part of my daily life. Now it’s time to say goodbye. Growing up with a ball at my feet has been one of the greatest joys of my life, giving me friendships in all regions of the world. And It’s hard to think it’s coming to an end, but the simple truth is I’d do it all again. This beautiful game has been my first and only true love, and how blessed am I that I got to play this game competitively until 22 years of age. There have been so many people in my life who have sacrificed so much for me to be able to do what I love. Words or short-handed thank yous could never repay the debt I owe. I owe you all a lifetime’s worth of happiness and memories no one could ever wish to experience.

To my mom, thank you. Thank you for everything you have given me, sacrificed for me, cried for me, and simply unconditionally loved me through my career. You have been my number one fan since the day you named me. Coming to every game, no matter where it was, whether I was playing or not—you were always there. After each game we would talk soccer for hours on end. There is no way I could have continued without your support. You are the golden standard of how a parent should support their child. I am extremely blessed to call you my mom. You love this game more than anyone I know, and one of your greatest gifts to me is the ability to love this game. Words will never be able to express how grateful I am for you. I love you. Thank you for everything.

My final season with this game has been the experience of a lifetime. My college career has taught me: don’t rush anything. When the time is right, it’ll happen. In the meantime, work hard, stay calm, and trust the process.

I’m so excited to announce that I will continue my academic and athletic career at Thomas More University at the NAIA and D2 level. I would first like to thank my family and friends for always pushing me to not only be the best player I can be, but also the best person I could be. Secondly I would like to thank all my coaches I would not be the player I am without any of you. And then lastly but definitely not the least thanks to my teammates for always being some of the guys I could fall back on, we’ve made memories on and off the field that I will never forget, so thank you.
