This is a very impromptu post, but I had to make it because I’ve held myself down in a dark place I’m mentally no longer in. And I started to get comfortable in that place in the most unhealthy way. While there I’ve more than likely created a rift/distrust between myself and my peers creatively. And I want to apologize for that because plenty of you didn’t deserve it. And I’m going to try to make amends in whatever ways I can. However, I’m going to move forward in doing one of the main things I’m good at which is creating. I haven’t done anything new these last few months, so this serves as a promise to myself to start fresh and be patient with myself during this process. Hope y’all will continue to take this walk with me.

Almost 7 months ago I moved to Atlanta with hopes of truly finding my footing in the creative industry. And during those times I’ve dealt with what I felt was so unimaginable to the point I almost gave up. But my mom always said “What’s for you will always be for you. Because God will never send your “mail” to someone else’s mailbox.” And when this blessing came I knew how right she was. I shot @peytonlist of @cobrakaiseries in @katespadeny for the Winter ‘21 issue of @wonderland 🥺🙏🏾 thank you so much to the @wonderland team for blessing me with my first editorial! @peytonlist you are such an amazing spirit and I’m grateful to have captured you for this moment 🙏🏾 HUGE thank you to @heyyychristine for continuously pouring love into me before, during, and after this shoot and for driving 10 hours in a day to work with me 😭 Thank you @andybuckmire for driving from Columbus to do hair on short notice 🙇🏾‍♂️ Much love to @abspetit for being so damn clutch on the styling 🔥! And last but not least thank you @stephonx_ for believing in me and assisting me during this shoot & along my journey in Atlanta. You thought I was joking, but I’m literally going to bring this up all the time lmao. I love all of y’all! ❤️

I’ve been holding on to photos from this shoot since May. Telling myself I wouldn’t release them until they were “perfect”. But after talking with @bloowoods I realized how important it is to detach from my work and let it be seen instead of holding onto it selfishly. I can’t get good at anything if I don’t put stuff out and let it succeed or fail. I just have to release it and adapt from whatever result comes. taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @kendrickcarter_
