Sarah and I felt it as soon as we walked out the door this morning. A city in mourning. At 8:45 am on our way down to ground zero we passed a group of construction workers observing a moment of silence. Hardened men softened by sorrow. Sarah and I both in tears that flowed so easily. My daughter, Wells, and I were somehow spared that morning 25 years ago with her only one year old and strapped into the runner as we jogged underneath the towers that morning at 8:30. After so many years I thought I had healed but the tears tell me otherwise. A witness to this historical moment and the best and worst of mankind that morning. Prayers to all those souls that lost their lives and those that were left behind to pick up the pieces. God speed. Peace by @kenkochey
