Some of the best conversations on the red carpet have nothing to do with movies.

Following the world premiere of GLUE, nominated for Best Comedy at the Burbank International Film Festival, host @kambrapotter caught up with director @caitcarv, writer/producer/star @kennamwright, and cast member @haleyfitzgerald to talk about making the film, bringing a directorial debut to the big screen, and the advice they would give their younger selves.

From “Stop caring so much about what everyone else thinks and trust yourself,” to “If you have the dream, if you have the vision, you can do it,” this is a conversation about creativity, courage, and why it’s always worth taking the leap.

For our first Meet the Filmmakers spotlight, we’re introducing Kenna Wright, the writer, producer and star of GLUE.

Inspired by the belief that great filmmaking can make us feel a little less alone, Kenna created @glue.film to tell a deeply personal story through the lens of comedy. It’s a heartfelt reminder that sometimes the bravest thing we can do is finally say what we’ve been holding inside.

GLUE blends sharp humor with emotional honesty as a young woman spends a single day working up the courage to have the conversation she’s been rehearsing in her head for weeks. It’s a heartfelt comedy about people-pleasing, growing up, and the terrifying, and liberating, act of finally saying what you really feel to the person you love most.
