✨ Soñadoras at ACDA 2025! ✨

IDC had the incredible honor of presenting Soñadoras at the ACDA South-Central Region Conference! Choreographed by Artistic Director Elisa De La Rosa, this piece was beautifully performed by Elizabeth Alfonso, Mariangel Cerero, Kennedy Glover, and Brittany Padilla. ✨Lighting Design: @technically_jewels

Inspired by the journey of Manuela Sanchez Delgado, this piece brings De La Rosa’s family’s immigrant story to life. Through a fusion of dance and film, it traces the arduous path across the Texas-Mexico borderlands, capturing the resilience, struggle, and hope embedded in the experience of crossing the Rio Grande in search of a new beginning. In the 1950s, Manuela Sanchez Delgado and Aurelio Sanchez Delgado migrated from Zacatecas, Mexico to the United States through the Mexican Farm Labor Program (Bracero Program), a pivotal chapter in their story of perseverance and sacrifice.

With passion and artistry, these dancers represented TWU Dance on the ACDA stage, making this experience truly unforgettable! We are beyond proud of their dedication and talent. ❤️

But don’t just take our word for it—let’s hear from the performers themselves!
