A few weeks ago I got the chance to moderate a discussion with suzettesyld on Selena’s legacy for Cultura’s (UMG’s Latinx/Hispanic ERG) kick off to Hispanic Heritage Month. I grew up listening to Selena and she was the first artist that inspired me to pursue music. I remember watching Selena Y Los Dinos and feeling like if they could make a career in music, I could too. And here we are. Truly a full circle moment. Thank you for the inspiration, Suzette, and my Selena gear. You made me tear up when I saw the quote, “IF YOU HAVE A DREAM, DON’T LET ANYONE TAKE IT AWAY” 🥺 Keeping this in my studio for inspiration ✨💕

Honored to be a @grammyu mentor this semester! I participated in the @recordingacademy GRAMMY Next program a few years ago and learned so much and met so many great people in the music industry. Happy to now be paired with my mentee @_jarleen_ who studied Communications at @csufofficial and is currently a Social Media Intern at The Recording Academy 🙂 If you’re a college student go check out GRAMMY U and if you already got started in the music industry check out GRAMMY Next! 📀
