I picked up painting miniatures/sculpts 18 months ago. I went from barely being able to paint within the lines to learning all these different techniques. I still have much to learn and improve but after multiple commissions and selling my first piece at an art show, I’m really happy with my progress. Here’s to the next 18 months. Took me about 18 hours to paint.
Lesson learned: difficult to paint the OSL with ivory and creme competing for the brightest value. Could’ve gone more crazy with it.
I had AI coach me the entire step of the way and that was pretty cool although flawed. by @kensanityhs

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there but most especially @lanie_v

She’s the glue that keeps our family warm and safe. Being a mother is a hard job and it’s like 40 jobs. She’s like the doctor, teacher, travel agent, accountant, coach, cook, etc. I’m thankful for all of that and even more so that she gave us a beautiful son who is thoughtful, funny, cute and crazy — just like his mom.
