A year ago today, I boarded a ship that would become my home for the next four months, having no idea how much my life was about to change.

That ship took me to places I never imagined I would actually get to see with my own two eyes. Places I had only ever heard about, learned about in school, or seen in pictures suddenly became real.

365 days later, I still think about those four months all the time. I miss @semesteratsea, I miss waking up somewhere new, I miss the people who became family, and I miss the feeling of having the entire world right in front of me.

I’ll never be able to fully explain what those four months meant to me, but I know I’ll spend the rest of my life being grateful that I got to live them.

105 days that changed me forever.

I know I’m a little late on the 2 months since we disembarked post but I’ve been reminiscing over everything. I have no words to explain how much I miss this time in my life. It’s already been 2 months since the WhatsApp group chat drama, the parties in port, and even just the pure chaos. Every time I look back it still feels like a fever dream and now it’s all just distant memories full of lifelong friendships and lessons. I’ll forever miss the World Odyssey with every part of me but I’m so grateful to have even been able to experience it in the first place. #sas136 taken in MV World Odyssey by @kenscott314

No seriously, Semester at Sea has been the best decision I have ever made. Coming right out of highschool going into the REAL world is such an eye opening experience, and sas has done such a good job at really making 136 worth it. I have so many words and emotions that can express how grateful I am for this voyage. The kids, the crew, the staff, everyone made the World Odyssey feel like a real home. After months of traveling all around the globe we have finally hit the finish line. The memories made these past 105 days will never be forgotten.
