In Detroit this weekend to see the Eventually Everything Connects: MidCentury Modern Design in the US exhibit. June 14 to Sept. 21, 2025 at Cranbrook Art Museum in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Last year Bridget Bartal contacted me to ask if I would loan some of my clocks from my collection. I was happy and honored to do so. A truck showed up about a month and a half ago and I helped them pack and crate them up. Can’t wait to see the exhibit!!! #eventuallyeverythingconnects #georgenelsonassociates #georgenelsonclocks #howardmillerclockcompany #luciaderespinis #eyeclock #spoolclock #midcenturymoderndesign #bridgetbartal #cranbrookartmuseum #detroit by @kenshotkoski

Another treasure that I sent to the February 8th American Design Auction at Wright gallery is a pair of light fixtures from the Howard Miller Lantern Series, designed in 1962 by Irving Harper of George Nelson Associates. This was a time when Harper and other designers were experimenting with vacuum formed plastics. You also see the vacuum formed plastics used in some of the clocks he designed as well as bird houses and planters. These Lantern Series lamps are hard to come by and when they are found, usually have cracks or missing pieces. Like the Bubbles Lights, they also develop a nice patina with age and emit a nice warm glow. 26 inches tall and a rare pair. These are in great shape. #wrightauctions #howardmillerlighting #irvingharper #georgenelsonassociates #lanternseries #midcenturymoderndesign #howardmillerclocks #modernlightingfixtures by @kenshotkoski

The Nelson DayBed number 5088, designed by Arthur Drexler in 1948 for George Nelson Asscociates for Herman Miller offered up to 1964. I am saying good bye to mine. It is up for auction through Wright Auctions this Thursday. I will miss it. It was a great sofa not only for watching Netflix on but also was perfect for stretching out and taking a nap. #georgenelsondaybed #georgenelsonassociates #arthurdrexler #hermanmiller #midcenturysofa #georgenelson #wrightauction by @kenshotkoski

My rather beat up version of model number 4767 George Nelson Associates desk clock for Howard Miller Clock Co. 1949. I have also seen it with a different metal motor housing on the back. It is the desk version of the # 4772 Masonite wall clock. # George Nelson associates #howardmillerclockcompany #irvingharper # georgenelsonclocks #howardmillerclocks # midcenturymodernclocks #midcenturymodern #richardsmorgenthau by @kenshotkoski

The Petal clock or also called the Paddle clock, model number 7513, designed in 1957 by George Nelson Associates for Howard Miller Clock Company. Came in three variations: Multi-colored ( same colors used for the multi-colored Ball Clock) or black or in white. It was reissued by Vitra in 2004. They changed the placement of the colors in the multi-colored version for some strange reason.

George Nelson Associates grandfather clock model number 2256, ca . 1957. Considered part of the Baroque series. One of two I own. Walnut, beautiful chimes, finials, and swag legs! Came in 5 variations. Most likely designed by Irving Harper. #georgenelsondesign #georgenelsonassociates #howardmillerclocks #irvingharper #howardmillerclockcompany #grandfatherclock #midcenturymodernclocks #midcenturymoderndesign by @kenshotkoski
