On the surface, South Korea, Hawaii, Peru, and Croatia don’t seem to have much in common. But the common thread between these four destinations is that travelers are choosing what they have to offer in culture and off-the-beaten-path experiences.

In South Korea, their food, arts, and pop culture are electric. In Hawaii, locals urge tourists to learn more about their culture and history. Peru offers plenty beyond Machu Picchu. And Croatia’s sunny coast is blessed with beauty and local delicacies.

Can you guess which other places have cracked our list of rising destinations so far this year?

Imagine a glass-domed train gliding out of Moab, canyons blazing in the afternoon sun, and the Colorado River curling alongside you. Mile by mile, the desert gives way to the Rockies.

Onboard Canyon Spirit, the journey is the main event. Snow-capped peaks pierce the sky. Rivers thread through narrow gorges, past hidden waterfalls and quiet mountain lakes. And in between, you sip, savor, and watch the breathtaking scenery roll by.

Along the way, the story of the West follows you: pioneer towns like Moab, the hot springs of Glenwood Springs, and the grand arrival into Denver’s historic Union Station.

This is the American Southwest at its most majestic, fully tailored to you.

A daring group of women from different walks of life has just embarked on a life-changing expedition across Mongolia throughout October.

This is no ordinary guided tour. It’s a hands-on, all-women expedition designed to push the limits of adventure. Some of them have no prior expedition experience, while others may not see themselves as seasoned adventurers. But together, they’ll learn.

Guided by renowned expedition leader and survival expert Megan Hine, the team will venture through the subarctic taiga, ascend the Altai Mountains, and cross the Gobi Desert.

Drawing on her expertise in human behaviour and high-pressure situations, @megan_hine will teach her team how to approach unfamiliar landscapes, assess risk, make decisions, and build confidence. Not just as a group, but individually.

Along the way, they’ll meet Tsaatan reindeer herders and Kazakh eagle hunters. They’ll learn survival camping, navigation tactics, and off-road driving. And they’ll put their problem-solving skills to the test in some of the wildest environments on Earth.

Interested in following the journey as it unfolds? We’ll be posting updates on their extraordinary expedition throughout October. Be sure to check back.

Imagine sailing to the top of the world, where ice floes crack and shift with the tides. A place where polar bears roam wild and the midnight sun refuses to dip below the horizon.

This summer, Kensington’s very own Joelle Davis, VP of Kensington Cruises, did exactly that.

“The Arctic was a destination I had always dreamed of visiting — the allure of the unknown, vast expanses of ice, and the hope of catching a glimpse of the elusive polar bear,” says Joelle.

In Aqua Expeditions’ inaugural year in the Arctic with their newest ship, Joelle sailed beyond the Arctic Circle into a frozen frontier. Aboard the Aqua Lares, a 30-person icebreaker superyacht, she ventured through Svalbard to experience some of Earth’s most remote landscapes.

“We entered the pack ice, reaching an incredible 81.83° north latitude, making us one of only two ships in the world that far north that day.”

Along the way, she witnessed the glacial waterfalls of Bråsvellbreen tumble into the sea. She explored the Alkefjellet Bird Cliffs by Zodiac and even spotted a polar bear on the hunt.

In 2025, we introduced the Kensington Conservation Grant, a $1,000,000 initiative in partnership with The Explorers Club. The goal? To support on-the-ground conservation projects that better our world.

But as the need for scientists and explorers who protect and understand our planet grows, we wanted to do more.

That’s why in 2026, we added the Exploration Grant. With funding of up to $25,000 per grantee, more change-makers can continue their invaluable work.

People like:

• Sneha Shahi, Conservation grantee: Educating local communities in water monitoring to help restore the health of South India's Tamiraparani River.

• Mark Hannaford, Exploration grantee: Studying extreme biology and human survival along Jordan and Saudi Arabia's ancient trade routes.

• Natalie Schmitt, Exploration grantee: Creating portable DNA field kits that identify snow leopards. Through real-time tracking data, these elusive cats are being protected from poachers.

• Francis Chebby, Conservation grantee: Protecting critically endangered kipunji monkeys by mapping Tanzania's forest corridors.

From conservation efforts to the study of humanity, we’re proud to support research that spans species, cultures, and continents.

To learn more about our Conservation and Exploration Grant programs and our talented recipients, read the full article at the link in our bio.

The most meaningful learning experiences go far beyond the classroom.

That’s why Kensington Cares is proud to support Students on Ice and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society (RCGS).

Thanks to their commitment to education and hands-on learning, youth in Canada and beyond can build a meaningful connection to the world around them.

At Students on Ice, youth from across the globe explore the world’s polar regions firsthand in a floating classroom. This past summer, Kensington was honored to fund two scholarships, helping make the experience accessible to anyone, regardless of background. Paz from Costa Rica and Maria from Peru joined a team of educators, Elders, scientists, and crew for an Arctic expedition to study one of the world’s most extraordinary environments and their place in protecting it.

In 2026 alone, more than 10,000 students participated in RCGS' annual Canadian Geographic Challenge, an interactive contest sponsored by Kensington. 15 year old Armaa Musaji from Markham, Ontario won the competition. Then a team went on to compete at the International Geography Olympiad, held in Istanbul, Türkiye.

From bridging Indigenous knowledge and science in a living Arctic classroom with @studentsonice to expanding geographic literacy through youth leadership @rcgs_sgrc, we’re dedicated to helping youth access environmental education.
