🏆 MEDWAY SPORT GOLD AWARD – KENT CRUSADERS FOR JUNIOR CLUB OF THE YEAR 🥇

The boys programme continues to grow in strength, year on year, with some unbelievable talent being seen through the consistent and professional nurturing and development from the Coaching team.

Some notable stand out competitive successes have been the U18 Boys being crowned National Championships of the 2023/24 season, the U16 Boys winning their National League in the 2023/24 season, and the U12 Boys winning their National League in the 2022/23 season too.

The Girl’s Programme has also seen significant competitive performance increases too, with an uplift in league positioning for all teams, year on year, for the 2023/24 season.

Whilst league wins have not been so prevalent within the Girls programme, what we have been celebrating more so is the overall expansion and positive culture across the 5 teams that make up the Girls Programme now.

Club membership is +21% in the last 2 years.
10% growth in Miniballers with an additional U10 team and a new U6 session to meet demand.
Our ‘Crusaders Basketball League’ for non-National League players has grown by 25% with an additional U10 team created to meet demand.
The Girl’s Programme has doubled in size with 2 new National League teams and an U18 Girls Academy at Canterbury.
Our Community Programme has grown to serve 500 primary and secondary children weekly, and our holiday camps, which are open to non-Club members, have increased by 40% with 50-60 children attending each day.

To support one of our Club Values of ‘Belonging’ we aim to find ways to offer participation to as many underrepresented groups in society as possible.
For the last two years we have provided a free 12-week opportunity for primary school girls to experience the sport for the first time.
We also offer a low-cost option for 10-weeks attendance to our mixed internal ‘Crusaders Basketball League’.

We also launched the Crusaders ‘Future Fund’ to support Club families in times of financial hardship, which ensures every player in our Club family continues to have the opportunity to follow their passion for basketball.

🏀 That’s a wrap on our All You Can Ball Programme!

What a fantastic seven weeks it’s been.

A huge thank you to every player who committed to getting better this off-season.

One of the best parts of the programme has been being able to offer such a variety of sessions 🏋️ Strength & Conditioning, 🎯 Shooting, 🏀 Scrimmages and Team Training, giving players the chance to develop every part of their game.

The work doesn’t stop here, keep putting in the hours this summer!

A huge thank you to everyone who made the Medway Mile event such a fantastic evening! 🏀❤️

A special shoutout to all of our amazing volunteers, coaches and players who gave up their time to represent Kent Crusaders, engage with families, run activities and help showcase everything our club is about. We couldn’t do it without you.

Was brilliant to see the sea of red Crusaders tees running the Medway mine also.

A big thank you to Medway Sport and Medway Council for having us. We’re proud to be part of such a fantastic community event.
