Upstairs is comfortable… but the basement is still cold? 🥶

Turning up the thermostat upstairs isn’t much help when that floor is already warm. Meanwhile, you’re feeding the wood stove or running extra heaters just to enjoy the space downstairs.

That was the challenge with this home. The goal wasn’t to replace the furnace—it was to make the basement comfortable without adding another heating system or a wall-mounted unit. The homeowners needed a way to control the basement temperature separately from upstairs.

The solution? Put the existing furnace to better use. 🔧

I added two-zone temperature control—one for upstairs and one for the basement—along with two new basement heating supplies. Both zones were tested and balanced, and I included a courtesy furnace maintenance before wrapping up.

Same furnace. Two comfort zones. A basement ready to be enjoyed. 🏠

Have a space that never feels comfortable? Send KenTech a message and let’s look at your options. taken in Sullivan County by @kentech845

⚡ PROTECTING YOUR AIR CONDITIONER DOESN’T AUTOMATICALLY PROTECT YOUR FURNACE!

Your furnace and outdoor air conditioner normally operate on separate circuits and different voltages. That means one surge protector may leave half of your HVAC system unprotected.

Before adding surge protection, homeowners should know:

✅ Is both the heating and cooling equipment protected?
✅ Is each protector correct for the equipment’s voltage?
✅ Was everything installed and tested properly?

Power surges can damage expensive components such as control boards, blower motors, and compressors. The goal isn’t just to install a device—it’s to make sure the right protection is applied to each piece of equipment.

For Jose, KenTech installed two MARS surge protectors: one on his 115V Lennox furnace and another on his 240V Lennox air conditioner. Both were installed according to manufacturer guidelines and tested afterward.

His five-star review says it all: great price, professional, knowledgeable, and on time. Thank you again for trusting KenTech!

This complete dual-system surge-protection installation was $599.

Starting this business has tested me more than I expected.

I thought things would move faster. Instead, there have been slow weeks, doubt, frustration, and plenty of moments where I’ve looked at bigger companies with more money, more people, and more resources.

That’s why this Katt Williams line has stayed with me:

“They have all the assets and resources, and we don’t. But put us on the line and let’s see if that factors in. I guarantee you it won’t.”

That helped me mentally. I can’t control what everyone else has. I can control what happens when someone gives me the opportunity.

And now here we are.

10 people trusted me with their homes.
10 reviews.
10 five-stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It may be growing slower than I imagined, but every review reminds me that when I get the opportunity, I deliver.

It’s nights like this that remind me how rewarding it is to serve my neighbors in their time of need.

When a water-system leak threatens to flood your basement, the water may need to be shut off immediately to prevent damage—but your home still needs working water.

KenTech was there tonight to make the repair and restore water service.
