More new stuff appearing on the shelves folks…

This time it’s the Bandai HG UC 1:144 XXXG-01S Shenlong Gundam which has just arrived with us.

I was walking through the warehouse and thought I would grab a quick video to show you all, because why not?!

It’s here, it’s on the shelf and it’s ready to go.

Plenty more newness coming through the doors as well… it’s getting VERY busy around here 🙌

Anyway, here’s a little look at this one!

It’s clear that after showing you a snippet of our recent trip to Japan that you are interested to see more of this and we’re happy to share it.

For many people visiting Japan is a dream and if you have a hobby like ours where Japan is a global influence, it makes it even more appealing.

Japan has never become a normal experience to us and you never really get used to it as there is so much to see, do and discover and it’s all good.

On this trip we mixed up some ‘work’ with a little bit of touristy stuff and just like that our flight home to the UK came around really quick after 7 days.

We have been doing business in Japan since the late 1990’s, revolving around import cars, racing and shipping.

A little known fact is Kent Models started by chance, as Aoshima approached us to licence one of our real car builds to make a kit from.

If you have seen the black Rocket Bunny Speedhunters Toyota GT86, that’s the car and kit that started this journey for us and we are proud to sell a kit of a car that we produced.

Although, that’s not the first time. Do you remember the Tamiya Sumo Power GT1 Nissan GT-R RC kit? That was our actual car too, yep the real one (or two as it was in reality).

We’re mixed up in the online world of plastic model kits that appear just like everyone else yet behind it is extreme enthusiasts and a genuine family business.

We’ll keep bringing you awesome stuff as best we can as long as you want to keep supporting us.

If you got this far reading all that, thank you and here are some more pictures of our trip that you may find interesting.

Following on from some pictures in Japan, this little vid captures exact the moment we found a discontinued Hasegawa Ford Focus.

Only found the one kit sadly and in December it’s mad to think this kit will be on our website and maybe someone will buy it without even knowing how hard it was the find it or the lengths we went to, to buy it in this little shop on the outskirts of Shizuoka.

It cost a pretty penny but it will bring joy to someone I am sure. by @kentmodels

We are not your usual model shop, we never have been, and we never will be. We go to extraordinary lengths to find model kits in Japan for you……

We recently made yet another trip to Japan to reunite with staff at our own office there, manufacturers and suppliers as we import the majority of our kits directly.

While there, we squeezed in more trips to both Akihabara in Tokyo which is always fun, but also a few little model shops in the countryside looking for new old stock kits that you just can’t find any longer, the shops are not on the net - which was cracking fun when you know what to look for….and yes we got lucky!!

As ever, we have stock of kits you simply can’t find anywhere else and that’s our speciality.

Yes we stock the regular kits like most but then we have a whole layer of stock no one else has and if you search our website at the right time, you’ll find them.

Our ranges of many products are about to explode to a level we have never seen - it’s all coming thick and fast in October and November and December.

We don’t offer Pre-Orders any longer, when it’s on the shelf it’s on the website, that’s how we roll - if you see it, you can buy it.

Shipping containers are on the way folks and in the meantime here are a few snaps.

If you are interested to see more pictures of our trip and stories we’ll happily share them.

Cheers! by @kentmodels

So some exciting news. We’ve had a little make-over.

Not only that but we have updated a ton of things, added new products and you’ll be pleased to know, we’re headed for a new era of awesomeness.

We’re in the process of adding hundreds more kits and expanding our ranges significantly to ensure we truly are a one-stop shop for plastic kit modellers.

Our ranges are expanding on a daily basis for kits, tools and accessories that you may be interested in.

We have two shipping containers on the way from Japan just now, full of amazing new things which you’ll see listed on our site in October & November - don’t worry we’ll tell you when they drop.

To mark this positive turning point we have a 3 tier offer system live on the website right now for the next few days which you can take advantage of - if you were smart enough to read this post this far.

If you like what we do and you like to support proper small family businesses, could we ask you also tell your friends and share it for us?

Spend £55 = Free Shipping
Spend £85 = Free Shipping + 12% Disc.
Spend £110 = Free Shipping + 12% Disc. + a FREE Tamiya MX5 kit.

Head over to our site for a fresh look and get the search terms going…

A little bit of race car goodness to finish off the week 🙌🏁

This is the 1:24 Hasegawa Jaguar XJR-8 LM Silverstone and there are some really nice details in this one!

It’s a Limited Edition kit with additional resin parts for the front cowl and fender air outlets, plus decals for the No.6 car from the 1987 World Sports Prototype Car Championship.

Not a bad way to spend a weekend at the model bench 😍

An AE86 on the timeline feels like a pretty good idea today 😍

This is the 1:24 Aoshima Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX and it's a pretty cool kit!!

Based on the 1985 Trueno, this one comes with retractable headlights that can be displayed open or closed, suspension recreated with springs, and tail lights and indicators moulded in clear red and orange. You also get window frame masking stickers included 🙌

A proper JDM favourite that’s still hugely popular today!

Fancy adding it to the workbench? https://www.kentmodels.co.uk/product/124-scale-toyota-ae86-sprinter-trueno-gt-apex-85-model-kit/

How does a Fairlady for your Monday sound?

And not just any Fairlady… this one's had the full Works Racing treatment 😍

The 1:24 Fujimi Nissan Fairlady 240ZG HS30H Full Works Racing comes with those lovely wide overfenders, front spoiler, rear wing and period-style racing wheels.

That classic long-nose Z shape with the full racing look just works, doesn't it? 🤌🏻

Definitely wouldn't mind seeing this one built up!
