Brick City is an animated series set in the fictional town of Brick City, Mississippi, a surreal world where cannabis culture comes to life. In this universe, blunts, cigarettes, lighters, bongs, and other smoking-related characters exist as living citizens who shape the culture, economy, and identity of the city. At the center of the story is Beenie Bluntavious Broccoli, a young and wealthy nugget who unexpectedly inherits his late grandfather’s legendary nightclub, Purp Café, after the passing of Granddaddy Purp. The café is more than just a venue—it serves as the cultural heartbeat of Brick City, hosting music, performances, and gatherings that keep the community energized and connected. As Beenie steps into leadership, he must ensure that the city continues to thrive by keeping the supply of premium weed flowing while maintaining Purp Café as the city’s premier entertainment hub. However, his mission becomes increasingly difficult as Mayor Mr. Ashtray Jones launches a campaign to transform Brick City into a sanitized, corporate-style development called CleanView. Determined to erase the culture that defines the city, Ashtray Jones begins using questionable and illegal tactics to shut Purp Café down. At the same time, Beenie faces pressure from the music industry through a rivalry with Bad Bud Records, a competing label known for pushing low-quality weed and subpar music into the community. As tensions rise, Beenie must balance running his grandfather’s legacy, protecting Brick City’s culture, managing his record label, and outmaneuvering political forces determined to dismantle everything the city stands for. Through comedy, satire, and street-smart storytelling, Brick City explores themes of culture, community, entrepreneurship, and resistance—showing what happens when a young leader fights to protect a city’s identity from corruption, gentrification, and fake competition. by @kenyon3955
