Happy National Girls and Women in Sports day:)

Thank you to every woman who’s played a role in my journey, and thank you to those who went through the struggles years before so that we would all have a place in this male-dominated sport that we made our own💜 taken in McKendree Women’s Wrestling by @kenzliecrain

Quick little post about coaching before I leave:)

I’m so so blessed that I’ve been able to spend time on the mat for a different reason. Getting to be a safe space for these kids and a role model for these younger girls has made me so beyond happy. From seeing so many littles find love in the sport that I fell in love with, to praying with kiddos before matches, it’s been the most fulfilling thing ever. Thank you God for giving me a way to glorify you through doing what I love🤍 taken in Lindsborg, Kansas by @kenzliecrain

Never be satisfied, but acknowledge how far you’ve come.

6 years ago, I started wrestling and hated every second of it. Now, I’d give anything for one more season with these coaches and teammates. 4th at state wasn’t the goal, but it’s something little Kenzlie couldn’t even dream up. I’m beyond thankful for the endless support and opportunities from my community. To my teammates, I love you all and I’m so glad I got to call you family🧡 To my coaches, thank you for helping shape me into the person I am and never letting me be satisfied🤍

-4x state qualifier
-2x state placer
-36-5 senior record
-119-33 career record
-102 career pins
-Most pins in school history (boys and girls)
-First female 4x state qualifier in school history
-First female to hit 100 career wins in school history
-First female to wrestle all 4 years of highschool (with taytum of course @taytumreed )

Thank you Smoky Valley. Can’t wait to see what comes next:) taken in Smoky Valley High School by @kenzliecrain

National Girls and Women in Sports Day🤍

I’m so lucky to be a part of a sport where l get to compete with and against some of the most empowering women. I have endless respect for every single one of my teammates and opponents, because we all chose to wrestle and we’re all trying to reach the same goals. I’m so proud of every woman I’ve had the chance to step on the mat with and I’m forever thankful for the countless lessons I’ve learned through wrestling. Being a club coach this season, I’ve got to see firsthand how much of an impact we have on younger girls who are nervous to start a new sport.
Remember that you’re an inspiration, and that you’re paving the way for so many aspiring girls🤼‍♀️🤍 by @kenzliecrain
