To most people, being an athlete is about what your stats look like, how well you played that day, or how many wins you can show. But for me, playing softball meant going beyond anything I could have imagined for myself. It meant learning how to push through adversity, growing stronger in the moments that challenged me most. It meant becoming part of something bigger than me and meeting some of my best friends in life—friendships that grew into a true sisterhood. It pushed me academically to be better than I ever thought possible and taught me how to love myself, growing more confident in every part of my life.

Thank you, softball, for teaching me how to always be myself. I’ve learned that it’s not always about the destination, but the journey. I’m so blessed to have called Tusculum home and to have had the experiences I did at Louisburg. I’m especially thankful for my family, whose constant belief in me never wavered and carried me through every high and low. Above all, I’m eternally grateful for God’s plan and His love for guiding me every step of the way.
