I hitchhiked from Tooting in London to Pembrokeshire in Wales for a modelling job. The shoot took less than half the time the hitchhiking took there and back but it was all for the #ADVENTURE and here’s how it went…

It took 6 vehicles for me to get there, I waited a maximum of 20 minutes for a ride, it mostly rained when I was picked up 🙏🏼 thank the lord 🙏🏼 and everyone was lovely and we chatted all about our different life stories, our travels, where we were from and how much we like our jobs and adventures and of course everyone’s concerns for my safety doing hitchhiking even leading to one of my drivers giving me a box opening knife to protect myself with, saying “remember slash not stab”!

As I’ve said before I know there are risks when hitchhiking however the majority of the time people just want to look out for someone in need and that was really proven on this journey for me! Thank you @alexandra.sardani for picking me up and chatting to me about the cool dances we could go to with loads of different cultures in London, I hope to see you there some time 🇬🇷✨❤️‍🔥

And thank you to everyone for the random chats and rides that got me to my destination one by one, each section big or small leading me to my shoot 📸 thank goodness for THE PEOPLE!! Much Love 🥰✨🤘🏼🛘🙏🏼 and I hope to return the favour to the next person in need 🧚🏼‍♀️❤️‍🔥

From Barcelona to Brixton, the flight £30, the hitchhike £0 and the bus from Croydon to Brixton £1.75. A grand total of £31.75 from Barcelona airport to home in London!!
(And this is how I travel cheaply) 🙌🏼🧚🏼‍♀️✨💓

I love hitchhiking! Yes, because you don’t pay money but ALSO because of the people you meet along the way, I’ve always had a curiosity for hearing people’s stories and views/beliefs and although sometimes I do not agree with some people, it’s always interesting to hear the other point of view and it really opens your mind to being more understanding and empathetic.

I am also so grateful and appreciative of this privilege because I know I am more likely to be picked up based on my gender, ethnicity and looks, it is still possible for everyone to hitchhike but I know it is a lot easier and much faster for me (usually from 5 to 30mins more or less), that being said I am also aware of the dangers and risks it could bring and I do NOT get in any vehicle and sometimes say no when I don’t feel it is right!

But I’ll forever enjoy the hitchhiking as I learn about people and feel that it often restores my faith in humanity (MOST PEOPLE ARE GOOD!!). I know we often see in the news so many bad things but here’s to the good people!! Thank you so much for helping a sister out 🙏🏼💓🧚🏼‍♀️✨🫶🏼🌻🤸🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️🌍❤️‍🔥
