this may be a little long but i just want to say thank you so much coaches for the opportunity to represent American Samoa officially as a National Athlete! both coach Ant and coach Taase for teaching me so much over the past weekends not only about volleyball but life lessons i’ll never forget and thank you so much to the team and the people i’ve met along the way from the other teams. I love you all so so much it was so much fun playing along side you guys and getting to know every single one of you. By far one of the best groups i’ve ever got to play with thank you so much for embracing me and taking me in. I know i didn’t grow up in samoa and i was scared coming onto this team because ive always felt like i never really belonged, but every one on this team i will forever appreciate for how kind and loving you all were to me! I will forever miss playing with you all but i can’t wait to see each and everyone of you shine, i’m so proud of each and everyone of you. and to the supports thank you for making this trip so special it was such a blessing to meet every single one of you! My dad played in the games 2003, while my grandpa was the president of it, and although my grandpa is no longer here all i would think about is how he’d be here with us if he could. carrying the legacy for my dad, my grandpa, and my family back at home. I hope i make you proud papa i miss you and love you your blood runs through me, samoan blood 💕 taken in Koror, Palau by @keonahiilani

living a dream

what a privilege. coming into this tournament American Samoa was ranked 236/240, now we are ranked 74 in the world! it’s more than just a medal. i love these girls so much, blessed is an understatement to have met them in this lifetime. and without my parents, I am nothing I owe everything to them. always proud to represent my blood, ASA to the world forever :) taken in Guam by @keonahiilani
