Are you ready for a slow creeping scheme with unknown aim, bursts of magical violence and a body count that looks too familiar? Where every move is likely just another layer of obfuscation... Are you ready for the weight of secrets, the fear of exposure and the need to expand anyway to clash in a thrilling crescendo of cost and effort... Are you ready for Ninth Path to awaken?

Extraordinary Ruin, the thrilling sequel to The Bad Apothecary, can be preordered on amazon and connects a lot of open ends from the first installation. Connections are, after all, what the Hierarchy is built on, and Diwu and Nex are part of it now. by @keonshore_author

Ninth Path, The Bad Apothecary, is a dark and gritty fantasy novel with nuanced conflicts, earned loyalties, forced service and intricate world building.
Inspired by Asian storytelling and progression fantasy it's got an elaborate cultivation based magic system with eight paths... (The ninth is for the story to tell you about) and a colorful plot with mystery, adventure and a good amount of action, balanced with strong character focus, none of which can be reduced to black and white.
It's the first installation of a series and also my debut.

Tomorrow I reveal the new cover for Book Two. In the meantime you can start reading it now...

It's been a long day with nothing visual to show for but I did SEO and a general security check, set some security rules and I think on the technical side my site is ready. Now can plan a little launch celebration. when I get some sleep.

Still in editing, but loving it.
Hope you're getting ready for a different kind of fantasy.

Summonings, ecosystems, psychoactives and paradigm shifts in a high-stakes investigative "spirit"-mystery that might almost be called solar-punk.

Standalone ~100k words.
Will soon need beta readers. by @keonshore_author

Infodumps in writing fantasy are really relaxing to me. I know readers don't like them most of the time, and they don't always survive the edit, but for me, in the process, getting that information into the right shape feels so pleasing 😅 by @keonshore_author

One of my main dreams was to have a little wiki-like section on my webpage with a list of the lineages and their abilities, having character profiles, a glossary, the interactive map that I made some time ago, and lots more.

The icons on this banner will eventually lead to parts of that wiki. For now they're just ornaments, because building a wiki or whatever you want to call it is a lot of work, when you don't have an army of fans making it for you. Maybe some day 😅

I had made this image some time ago, but I touched it up now, changed some things and turned it into a nice banner for the page. It catches the city vibes of Quy quite well, though admittedly the buildings are a bit low.

The district I enjoy most (Deepside) you'd have to imagine like a spread-out version of Kowloon City, where it's unclear where one building begins and another ends and how they interconnect. A 3d maze, living, breathing, and with Asian food stalls all over. Don't forget to try the noodle soup from the booth on the 12th level bridge. It's exquisite. Rooftop sunsets are a special treat, too.

Ninth Path, The Bad Apothecary and Extraordinary Ruin are both out. Read them now! by @keonshore_author

We live in a crazy world and social media drives a relentless lens for confrontation and outrage. This post is for everyone who needs to be reminded to take a breath, a golden milk, a break and let the worries work themselves out. At least for five minutes they can take a break too. by @keonshore_author

Some decoration for the website I'm building.
I know people scroll past things like wordclouds and such, and that's ok. It's not meant to be something you pay much attention to. Just something that's there—like background music, adding to the atmosphere.

Anyway, these are some keywords that might help someone understand what kind of story Ninth Path is. by @keonshore_author
