✨ ESSENCE Day 1 Recap ✨Straight from the Convention Center… and what an unforgettable experience. The energy, the conversations, the culture, and the celebration of who we are was truly powerful. 🖤✨Being in rooms filled with greatness — from Octavia Spencer, Dr. Mimi and Steve Sanders, Michelle Obama, Cardi B, Kehlani, Latto, Keke Palmer, and the incredible Dr. Bernice King — was inspiring beyond words.One of the most nostalgic and meaningful moments was witnessing Dr. King’s daughter and Malcolm X’s daughter, Ms. Shabazz, share space together. Two families whose parents sacrificed their lives fighting for justice, equality, and the advancement of our community. To see their legacy still standing, still speaking, and still moving generations forward was a reminder of why these spaces matter. ✊🏾Beyond the panels and powerful conversations, New Orleans showed out! From celebrating the culture, legacy, and future of our Historically Black Colleges & Universities at the HBCU event at Empire, to the incredible food at Spicy Mango’s and unforgettable after-party vibes at Treehouse — the networking, music, connections, and community were unmatched.ESSENCE is more than a festival… it is a movement. Today I had the opportunity to model in a fashion show for Cube 57 Boutique, an amazing Black-owned boutique with locations at the Mall of Georgia and Stonecrest Mall. 🖤As a petite girl, it's hard to find clothes that fit just right, but Cube 57 never disappoints.I had so much fun modeling this sexy, one-of-a-kind leopard print dress designed by Tammy Brookins. Their owner designs many of the pieces, creating unique, stylish looks that make you feel confident the moment you put them on. From everyday fashion to statement pieces, they truly have something special. Cube 57 Boutique Walking in the store today reminded me that fashion is about confidence, individuality, and embracing who you are.Now...
