Hello! We’re kept by store my dress and, to put it simply, we help you look after the things you love. Our brand is family-run in every sense of the word. Kept has been built on decades of conservation experience with major historic textiles and pieces, the kind of things that can’t simply be replaced. Now, we’re bringing that knowledge into everyday storage, cleaning and protection products, so the pieces closest to you can be properly cared for at home. Maybe you’re trying to work out how to store your cherished wedding dress. Maybe the keepsakes from your baby’s first year are sitting in a shoebox at the back of the wardrobe. Maybe your favourite knitwear has been shoved into a vac-pac under the bed, with crossed fingers it comes back exactly as it was next winter. We get it. Most of us were never really taught how to care for the things we want to keep. That’s why we created Kept. Turns out one of the hardest part of getting married is figuring out what the hell you do with the dress afterwards 🥲🤍 After spending months choosing it, one amazing day wearing it, and becoming far more emotionally attached to a piece of clothing than I ever expected… shoving it in the back of the wardrobe felt mildly criminal. So I sent mine off to @keptstoreco to be professionally cleaned and packed away properly in one of their wedding dress preservation boxes. We’ve made everything aesthetic. The water bottle. The hand soap. The gym set. The wardrobe reset. The storage boxes in every nook and cranny of the house. And don’t get us wrong, we love beautiful things. But somewhere along the way, “looks good” started getting confused with “works well.” Especially when it comes to clothes care. Because pretty storage doesn’t always mean protective storage. Vacuum bags can crush fibres, plastic can trap moisture, and fragrance doesn’t mean fabric-safe. So if you’re storing wool, cashmere, knitwear, wedding dresses, baby keepsakes or sentimental pieces, it’s worth asking what’s actually happening to the fabric inside. Aesthetic is lovely. If you’re still storing your favourite knitwear pieces and precious garments in cheap, aesthetically pleasing storage cubes, this is your sign to STOP. Yes, it gets them out of the way, but the damage they’re causing to your clothes (especially designer and expensive pieces!!) isn’t worth the ‘look’.
