While I’m convinced 99.9% of TikTok is brain rot, I actually learned something useful on there for once, and now I’m passing it along!

Turns out, some pressure canners can double as pressure cookers, which means you can cut down, and I mean WAYYYYY down, on bone broth-making time!

No more putting off making bone broth until you have an entire day to babysit a pot simmering on the stove for 24 hours!

This was my first attempt at making elk bone broth this way, and I’m pretty dang happy with the results!

Here it is! My first magazine cover and it’s for @mule_deer_foundation!! Ft. our meowest crew members! 🐱

What makes this cover even more special is that it captures Steven’s first archery mule deer after 8 years of chasing them in the desert, 5 of which I was lucky enough to spend right alongside him.

Knowing just how much time, effort, and persistence went into that moment makes seeing this photo on the cover even more meaningful. Pretty dang cool to have a moment that means so much to both of us make the cover!

Still learning the ropes when it comes to pressure canning, but pretty excited to have successfully canned elk…and now bear! 🙌🏻

I was honestly intimidated by canning meat for a LONG time. But after talking to a bunch of people who’ve been doing it for years, and doing a ton of research, we decided it was time to give it a go!

Every year we try to add another method of preserving wild game to the toolbox, and I’m pretty dang excited about this one. Shelf-stable, fully cooked meat that doesn’t take up precious freezer space? Hard to beat. by @kerenzucker

We’ve always been here. Putting in the miles, filling freezers, and using the hell out of our gear.

So yeah, it’s pretty damn cool to see women recognized by brands like @montanaknifecompany . This drop is the same badass Speedgoat we’ve come to love, with a little more personality and a pop of color. 💜

This reel is a glimpse into a few of the adventures my MKC knives have been along for over the years, and now the Huckleberry Speedgoat joins the lineup for years to come. 💜

And perhaps the best part? @stevendrakephoto and I won’t be confusing whose knife is whose anymore. 😆

Mormon crickets really went all in on the whole appearing dangerous without actually being dangerous look 😆

They’re native to the West, and that scary looking “stinger” is actually an ovipositor, used by females to lay their eggs! by @kerenzucker
