Human. Useful. Beautiful. We‘ve been designing and building cabinets since 1999

We got lots of comments regarding the gap above cabinets.

Nate went and looked on top of his own cabinets for the first time in a few years and yes, there is dust up there. He runs a wood shop. There is dust on most things.

It is not wrong to care about that. It is also not wrong not to.

This is why we don't offer flat packs anymore.

Shipping is priced on weight as well as volume. Same plywood, same weight, barely any saving. We shipped a lot of projects before admitting it did not work.

The tenons we invented to make it assemble without a shop are still in every cabinet we build. That part was worth the two years. by @kerfdesign

Every part of every kitchen we have built is still drawn in our files. Every drawer, every dimension.

Which means if you bought a kitchen from us in 2010 and you have since decided the drawer by the sink really should have had dividers in it, you do not need to measure anything. Email us, tell us which drawer, and we will work from our own drawings.

People do not know this is possible. It is.

We are known for our cabinets, which are rectangles that have to fit other rectangles.

This is not that. Nate likes to experiment everyone once in a while. Even though this piece will not be available for purchase (as it doesn't quite fit Kerf's other products) it still is exciting to try new things.

The Calder collection at SAM is to blame.

Someone asked whether we could make a cover for the empty holes.

We could, and we are not going to. The holes are the design. A wall you can rearrange forever has to show that it can be rearranged, and hiding that would be building a worse version of the thing on purpose.

If the look is not for you, that is completely fine. We will make you cabinets instead.
