6 days, 13 women, 100 km sums up a Camino experience I will forever carry in my heart. It’s a beautiful cross section of humanity. All ages, cultures, languages, and abilities travel this road with one common phrase of “Buen Camino” ringing out in common greeting. I have loved this trip and I must come back. I will forever treasure this adventure where strangers became friends and somewhere along the way, we all found something our souls were missing. by @kerijenkins

Nate & Caroline 💕
6/20/2026

Pictures are officially in, and it’s impossible to narrow down the good ones. It was the perfect weekend. The wedding venue holds a lot of significance to Caroline and her family. It is a private hunting/fishing club in upstate NY that has existed for over 100 years. Caroline’s family has been a part of the club her entire life.

Add in the families, friends, perfect weather, so much love, an amazing DJ, and a couple everyone was thrilled to celebrate, and you have a perfect wedding.

They met at West Point and have endured all that comes with not being in control of where you live. They will be moving (together) to N. Carolina soon, where Nate will start training for Special Ops through the Army. Caroline is the 3rd woman ever to be an Army diver and will continue her career. They are both accomplished but also very humble, authentic, goofy (Nate), patient (Caroline), fun-loving, amazing people.

We gained a daughter, whom we love and have prayed for. We also adopted her entire family (and there are a LOT of them), whom we adore. It was an amazing weekend!

Cheers 🥂! by @kerijenkins

My new business partner (Keri Parker Jenkins) and I are making plans to host a group or two to walk the 100 mile Cotswold Way next summer. In preparation for hosting the groups, we wanted to do a little field work to be sure we plan it excellently for our clients. Only, we have lots of work and family and such at home, so we thought we would just knock it out in 6 days and get on back home.

Wow!!

We learned a couple of things…
⛰️The Cotswold region isn’t flat. At all. Almost anywhere. It’s rolling hills for days.
🗺️100 miles is really more like 106 miles
🥤Ice cold Coke Zero cures almost anything after 19 miles of hiking
🥾 Good hiking shoes are the only reason no cab was called
👣Each evening it would seem not another step could be taken, but the body’s ability to use sleep to heel you up is legit
🩹Bandage brands matter, don’t cheap out on them
🐍I am motivated to move rather quickly, even when I physically can’t anymore, by exactly 2 things…nearby food and snakes
🏆I truly had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I did it!!!!! 106 miles of hiking in 6 days. This was easily the biggest challenge I’ve asked of my body…ever.

Now, it’s important to note that though my version of this trek was a bit crazy (if the locals are to be believed,) the version we are creating for our clients will be much more focused on the wonder of the Cotswolds and the challenge will be less taxing. But now we’ve taken every step they will take and can provide them with an amazing experience!! They will get the storybook towns and delightful scones that I couldn’t make time for in so few days.

Our job is pretty wonderful, hunting for the next adventure isn’t a bad day’s work.🌏

WE ALL DID IT!! 🥾🏔️
We started out with a 3:10 am pick up and began our trek at over 12,000 feet. We climbed to over 15,000 feet and had daily "up a mountain and down a mountain cycles."
The days started early and we enjoyed the beauty of the Andes. From extremely cold glacier views to steamy jungle paths. We had an incredible guide who at the beginning said "be happy and everything will be nice." WORDS TO LIVE BY 🤔😜
"The mighty nine" were an unusual sight - an all female trekking group. Only one person fell off of the trail, and each time she says that, she is corrected and is told "you didn't fall off the trail, you went airborne headfirst over a cliff...rolled 2-3 times and thankfully came to a stop." SHE was ME. 🤣😁the shrieks and looks on their faces told me it was scary to watch and our guide needed a few minutes to regain his composure. That was a first for him and he later said he was thinking of the bad news he would share to my family. No damage at all. Just a trekking pole that is now nestled somewhere in the jungle. And much to our surprise and delight (nervous delight) our guide still led us on the more challenging path a few hours later. It is only opened during parts of the year and was an extremely narrow path over fresh rock/mud slides with a raging river at the bottom. And NO 📸📷 photos of the scary parts. It was eyes on the trail!
I thought I was preparing myself for hiking in high altitude, but what I was doing was practicing being adaptable, appreciating Peruvian hospitality, learning the ancient history of the Incas, appreciating old friends and making new ones. Long live the "mighty nine."
Stats to live on my insta forever (bc this is not me at all)
Day 1: 9.4 miles
Day 2: 16.7 miles
Day 3: 11.2 miles
Day 4: 12.8 miles
Day 5: 4.8 miles

If a classic trek to Machu Picchu interests you, I know the best and experienced planner. She knows how to prepare you. She knows the best guides and how to plan for all of the details. @kerijenkins is your gal. Nate and Caroline are engaged and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
To answer a few questions:
They met at West Point and while Nate is our “keyboard warrior” (all things cyber), Caroline is a combat diver. She currently lives in VA and Nate is in GA. Nate is hoping to be in DC by June. Caroline is a perfect partner for Nate. She can handle both my boys and fits in perfectly with the Jenkins crew! She is laid back and absolutely wonderful. We are so proud of them and so excited for their future! by @kerijenkins

I put myself into social media time out for a few months. My ongoing toxic love/hate relationship with social media means sometimes I gotta pull the plug. In the meantime, an entire summer has been lived so here’s a quick catch up on all things. 1. Said goodbye to my dear friend, Gretchen as she and her family set off for Kansas City. 2. Said hello to Garrett!! He moved back to Duluth for an amazing job opportunity with Cirrus Aircraft. So happy to have him close! 3. Went to CA for my nephew’s graduation and to feel tiny sandwiched between my brothers. 4. Nate graduated from Stanford and came home for a bit before he started real Army in Georgia. Lots of kitchen shenanigans while he was home! 5. I went on a quick trip to TN to hang out with friends from my Singapore days and fell in love with the Smoky Mountains. 6. Came home to Nate and Caroline! I adore her and love having another female in the house! 7. Headed to Lake Madison for a couples trip with dear friends including our annual tradition of lighting Chinese lanterns and dress up night! 8. Said goodbye to another very dear Duluth friend. 9. Drove 20 hours to Georgia to deliver all of Nate’s stuff to him and see his new place! He will be there until May 2025. 10. Got home hours before the phone call…”Mrs. Jenkins? This is Garrett’s friend. There’s been an accident.” He went over the handlebars of his bike and 12 screws later has new hardware in his collarbone. And a nurse’s phone number. 😉. 11. A fast weekend with high school friends….oh the memories!! 12. A visit with my baby brother who was visiting the north shore. 13. My 4th annual week working at the MN State Fair for the talented @annabaileyart by @kerijenkins

A quick Jenkins Family Update:
*Scot recently had some exciting changes happen with his company and maybe….just maybe….he might start working less than 60 hours a week and definitely won’t be sleeping on a cot in his office when he’s in Rhinelander. IYKYK *Garrett and his sweet girl, Lexie, have coined themselves as QINKS (Quadruple Income No Kids). Both work 2 jobs while going to school full time (Lexie) and flying (Garrett). G works for a private airport and has fantastic stories about the fancy people who fly in and out and has made some great connections with private pilots (his current plan). He has taken all of us flying and it’s so much fun having a pilot in the family! He also folds towels and scrubs toilets at a fancy gym so he can have a free membership there (we won’t mention how well these skills transfer into his home life). *Nate….this has been the complicated one. He was offered a full ride at Stanford for a Masters degree in something that sounds complicated. He had to get approval from approx 74 Army people to go this Fall and finally got the all clear last Fri so off to CA he goes in Sept. In the meantime, he is back at West Point as an intern in a cyber department doing things on a national level (the real words for what he does go right over my head so contact him for details). He will finish with his Masters in 9 months and will then report to Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA to start his 6+ years he owes to the Army. And he has a girlfriend, Caroline, whom I also adore!
*Me…I keep up with the boys, hike/walk almost daily with my beloved Lenny, travel as much as I can and am constantly looking for my next adventure. Phew!! That’s a lot. My disclaimer is that this is a highlight post! Not pictured…some real lows for the Core 4 Jenkins that tested our grit and perseverance but we are still standing! And also, if either boy finds out about this post (neither do social media) I will get into “trouble” so let’s just keep it between us. 😎 by @kerijenkins
