Happy Milestone Birthday Tony! My gift to you is I finally showed up to one of your shows ☺️🎈 What a grand time surrounded by so many folks who love and tease you endlessly! Anyone who knows Tony understands we are all lucky to be inspired by him! I realized today I’ve know Tony 20 years and literally drove him insane, quite literally, during the filming of @theblacknwhitesessions seasons! 2nd photo is from our first video promo shoot for that series and that intro took at least 10 takes to just say we were doing videos in one take. Last Sunday I said yes to help out on our worship team last minute and showed up to a dream team of folks. One of which is this gorgeous and anointed human @tayagaukrodger ♥️ It’s amazing how I continue to cross paths with folks connected to people I knew 20+ years ago when I worked and lived in the Nashville area. Sometimes the world is so incredibly small and feels comfy. Taya is a force of goodness and light and what fun we had serving and worshipping together. by @kerilarson

Mazie was a Dolly fan from the first time she heard her music. This was around age 4. She just fell in love like we all did really, but Mazie was comforted by Dolly. Watching her interviews and clips from all the decades inspired Mazie to be kind and appreciate storytelling through song. At age 5 she asked if she could be Dolly for Halloween. At age 7 she asked if she could record a bit of her favorite Dolly song “Coat of Many Colors”. At age 8 and 9 Mazie had two big surgeries and Dolly’s music was with her through the hard days. Almost two years ago now a dear friend was working with Dolly and told her manager about Mazie. He was kind enough to take our friend’s phone with some of the pics in this post and some surgery pics and Dolly kept his phone for 20 min. She walked up to our friend later and said “You make sure lil miss Mazie gets this” and signed this photo in front of him. She had stopped doing autographs in general years ago, so this was surprising to her team that she did this. She didn’t even sign one for any of the folks working with her that day! I never felt right about sharing this story while Dolly was living as it felt so personal and just for us. Dolly will be in our hearts and likely my future generations hearts for a lifetime.
