“Last Hand”
100 cm x 70 cm
Oil on Panel
2026

“It’s the las hand of a long poker game. All cards are set and it is time to make the last bet. One person (right) has gone ‘all in’ and now it is to decide for the other person (left) if they want to go along or forfeit the round. One cigarette has burnt without being touched and a cigar has been hastily lit. Along with two glasses of brown liquor, which the person on the right has fully consumed. As the deck lies, the person on the right seems to have dealt the cards, which might factor in on who will win this round. The painting ends with the open question of who remains to win, yet shows some indications of the two players behaviour.” - Me (not AI)
