Of homemade apple pie, cheese & onion Taytos, cups of tea, delicious salmon, the tastiest lamb, red lemonade, the softest oatmeal, Mikados, chocolate kimberleys & snack biscuits, creamy Guinness, amazing local gin & whiskey, brown bread, soda bread, potato bread.. well, all the breads.🙌

Since baby Niamh arrived we are always up early (or too early!). But since the grocery stores often aren’t open yet, getting a morning delivery from @voilapariga by @igaqc has been a brilliant solution for us!

Eggs n things..
and a question.
How many eggs do you guys normally eat?
I feel like we go through a lot in this household. Scrambled mostly, and of course mixed into things, sometimes for a quick omelette, pancakes, etc..

Phew. We just about did it in time before the Lunar New Year.. Cleaned the house, washed the baby, the two dogs (& ourselves), sent out cards* and I made lots of food.. obviously.

Dumplings: Wealth
Noodles: Longevity
Steamed cake: Good luck & promotion
Whole fish: Prosperity & abundance
Fruit & snacks/rolls: Wealth, prosperity, fullness, happiness etc etc
& the colour red: Vitality, good fortune & luck

*.. & we decided to send cute Lunar new year cards made by the fabulous @paperandriceco this year.

Frozen ice cream Black Forest cheesecake ‘Christmas pudding’ bombe.
-
I wanted to do something a bit different.. not too complicated.. festive.. fun.. easy to make ahead..etc etc
And it turned out alright!
-
Digestive biscuits, vanilla cheesecake cream, cherry compote, more cheesecake cream mixed with grated chocolate that got all layered in a bowl & frozen. .. then topped with shaved dark chocolate & ganache. Served it with sparklers for some added excitement!

Ps. I could have made it more Christmas pudding flavour-like. But I’m the only one who likes real fruity type Christmas pud. Those fools.
