Queen of Shadows - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Obsessed! I was really surprised by this one after struggling to get into the series, but Queen of Shadows had me absolutely hooked from start to finish!! This was definitely the best book of the series so far and now I can’t wait to read the rest!!

I really need to start reading these on kindle because this book was chunky, and I was fighting with my paperback! So worth it though, now I get the hype and wish I stuck with it sooner! I’ve really been missing out 😂

Duskbound 4.5 ⭐️

Oh my gosh! That ending!!! I wasn’t ready. This book was even better than the first!

The plot and the pacing were really good and I loved the found family aspect 🥹 I also love a slow burn so this was great for me! And Aether…what a man 🥰 I had a good time reading this and I cannot wait for the next book! I need it now!

Kiss of The Black Flame - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First of all, I loved that the FMC is 35! Refreshing compared to what we usually see and we need to see more of this in books.

I was jumping up and down in the middle of a bookstore when I got the arc come through for this. I love Helen’s writing and she really knows how to create some great characters. I loved Saige’s relationship with the other two female characters that are her friends.

I would have preferred more of a slow burn but I enjoyed it all the same!

Daybreak - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve been waiting so long for a 5 star book and it finally happened. Daybreak just got me out of the longest reading slump that I thought was never going to end. I read this in less than 24 hours. Honestly did not want to put it down! It was quite heavy but I loved this book so much 💜 I can’t wait to read more from @autumnwoods.author

Shield of Sparrows - ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really wanted to enjoy this one but I just couldn’t get into it. I heard such good things but the story just didn’t grip me and I didn’t really feel anything for the characters. I did carry on to read Rites of the Starling which I thought was much better. But sadly this series just wasn’t for me.

A Forsaken Prophecy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was so good! I absolutely love Patrick ❤️
Still gives off major Peaky Blinders vibes which I love about it.

The tension between Nina and Patrick was perfect, I love a slow burn! 🔥

“When you look up at me like that, darlin’,” he said in warning, “it’s like darin’ me to ruin you. You understand?” 🤭

I also loved all the extra POV’s we get in this book! It kept my interest the whole way through.

The ending was action packed and once again ends on a cliffhanger!! I can’t wait for book 3!

I think a lot of people will like this book. It has Dragons, witches, Familiars, found family and enemies to lovers.

Blood Bound is an adult fantasy book, but in my opinion a lot of it was written very YA.

The storyline was predictable in places. I can see there were a lot of plot lines being put it place for the next book. So I am interested to see where that goes.

The book ends on a cliffhanger and I think the series has a lot of potential so I will pick up the next book.

Side note I was in a bit of a reading slump when I started this one 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think I’m officially in a reading slump.

Quick review - I enjoyed this book and ended up giving it 4 stars. The magic system is incredibly unique and that’s all I can say on that without spoilers! But wow.

The FMC Sciona isn’t actually likeable, and to be honest that was quite refreshing. She has many flaws and i absolutely I hated the way she kept speaking to Thomil.

The ending is quite poetic and chaotic, not what I expected at all! It’s definitely worth a read for something unique.

This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really enjoyed this book. It was so fun! The world and characters felt very detailed. We get a really good insight into all of the side characters and their story.

I’d say that this book definitely requires some concentration to keep up with the plot and character depth. But even with all the information we are given, it was honestly still such a fun read. I like that Maggie kept introducing modern phrases with her internal monologues, just so you don’t forget where she actually came from or who she really is.

The character interactions had me hooked and giggling.

I also loved the way the romance was done. There was no insta love which I really hate. This was a slow burn but with no spice.

I was not happy about the cliffhanger ending though 😂 I would like book 2 now please. I will definitely need to do a re-read of this one once the second book releases.

Thank you to @panmacmillan and @netgalley for a copy of this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

My edition of And Now Back To You from The Works 💜

Had to get the shelf trophy to match my copy of First Time Caller!

I am sad though that The Works decided to take their online store down. There is no store local to me, and the closest one is quite small so they don’t always have what I want 🥲

Oh well 😂 will save me money I guess 😝
