Big Dog Walk - This watercolor dog park was one of my first successful pieces I made once I dedicated myself to my art. Playing with the scale of the dogs and the people has become a key theme in most of my work. Animals and nature are so much bigger than us. I often here “dogs, we don’t deserve them.” I just nod, so true, so true.

When your friend send a texts “wanna do this paper mache workshop? I think we should make Dolly.” The only answer is YES! We made a giant paper mache Dolly and, man, was it a good time. I think it really highlights my four year art degree, what do you think?
.
Go make something! Make it with friend and make it BIG! Your mental health will thank you.
.
Thank you to the City of Salida for the FREE paper mache workshop. @tinapaintsatx for putting on another amazing art wall and the entire community for its support!

Modern Western Valley - 12 x 16
Watercolor and colored pencils.
Available at @salidadistillery
.
This is one of my favorite pieces from my latest show at Salida Distillery. I think it is because it is a different color pallet than my usual. The browns, yellows and slate blues are luscious, pretty timely for the fall colors. Have you gotten out in the fall foliage? Where?
