(EN) Under the name “Etnikeso,” I aim to reinterpret elements inspired by Turkish cultural heritage, including traditional artifacts, colors, cultural motifs, and artistic movements within my graffiti works. In the first piece of this series, I based the composition on the color turquoise and surrounded it with freestyle Turkish ceramic motifs, creating a visual language that blends traditional and contemporary expression.

Turquoise has historically been regarded in Turkish culture as a color of protection, balance, and spiritual peace. The name comes from the word “turquoise,” meaning “Turkish stone,” and this tone was widely used in tile art and architecture during the Seljuk and Ottoman periods. Appearing as a transition between sky and water, this color represents both nature and infinity, making it a powerful symbolic starting point for this work.
