Glasses so strong it’s crazy how far I see, they want me to slow down, but I got somewhere far to be. by @kevclassik

I started making music on my 16th birthday — a day that changed my whole life without me even knowing it. My Uncle Randy — rest in peace — sat beside me and helped me produce my very first song. We flipped “My Way” by Frank Sinatra, and I recorded the whole thing while I had the flu. It wasn’t perfect… but it was the spark.

Since then, it’s been 14 years of work, dedication, passion, love, and joy. Fourteen years of crossing paths with people who helped me grow, who gave me confidence when mine was running thin.

I never needed to touch a dollar off rap — that was never the reason. I did it because I loved it. I loved hip-hop. Every corner of the culture… graffiti, producing, DJing, MCing. I loved the late nights trying to create something out of nothing.

And the studio? It was never really a studio. Just four walls in a room. My best friend’s living room. iPod voice memos and beats pulled from 9th Wonder instrumentals on YouTube.

My lyrics were stories — the life I was living while I was living it, the things I saw, the people around me, their struggles, their dreams. I was documenting my world in real time… telling my story and theirs.

I never imagined music would shape my life this deeply. I don’t chase status. I don’t look for validation.

Music has always been my therapy. My purpose.

and a special thank you to @gbiztattoos for being the idea to life! by @kevclassik

They tried to stop greatness… the train will keep moving with or without you I had to get back to that drawing board and figure it out. #Newmusicsoon taken in GARAGE GYM FITNESS by @kevclassik

You can go from being on top of the world to the world being on top of your shoulders. Count your blessings. If God gave you purpose in this life, don’t waste it. Spend time with the people that love you. Be thankful not everyone has what you have. Dollars aren’t the only thing that make you rich, and you can’t take the money with you in the casket. 🙏🏼❤️ by @kevclassik

Happy Birthday, Pops ❤️

Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, the lessons, the sacrifices, the conversations, and every moment you pushed me to be better even when I didn’t see it yet. I’m grateful for your strength, your guidance, and the example you’ve set for what a real man and a real father looks like. I love you, Pops and I hope you enjoy your day, we’re making two turkeys and an entire feast for you 😂 by @kevclassik

The next 10 years of my life are going to look a lot different than the last 10. But one thing that I know won’t ever change is you’ll be by my side the entire time. ❤️ by @kevclassik
