Feeling so honored, what an amazing journey this was being a part of this production of “Kinky Boots” @ritztheatreco as an Angel and Lola u/s. I am beyond grateful to have worked with such an amazing cast and team, we held each other up through this entire process and I love you all so much. One of my favorite moments was being able to do my first ever drag show with my other Angels and getting to work with the amazing @_vinchelle_ and @mariatopcatt , I’m still on cloud 9 from that night. This show is a true testament of love and acceptance and this show was needed especially in this time that we are living in where black , gay , trans, and women’s rights are literally being ripped from under us. While we are living in this dark time always choose love and keep fighting for what is right! taken in The Ritz Theatre Company by @kevin.ray82

AND THAT’S A WRAP… WOW!! Rodger’s and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” we met again. This show really meant a lot to me. I was Prince Topher my senior year of high school and to do this show again playing a new character and experiencing this show from a different lens truly made this experience emotional for me. I’m so grateful to have done it again with this talented group of professionals and performers. Closing Disney’s The Little Mermaid at the Broadway Theatre of Pitman hit a little harder for me. The team and my cast mates became my friends instantly our energies matched like no other and I’m so grateful to have been “under the sea”with you all. I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be returning in my 3rd show at the Broadway Theatre of Pitman. I got the role of Ensemble, (U/S) Flotsam /Jetsam.

I’m grateful for this opportunity to work again with familiar faces and meet new faces. I can’t wait to work with you all and put on an amazing show!

Renaissance 🪩

Once again Queen Bey outdone herself with this tour. This album has meant so much to me. Celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and the ballroom scene. I’m just happy that the influence of her late Uncle Johnny allowed her to explore and express herself fully and just let go , you can tell that she was having a lot of fun. That is the whole purpose of the album . Hearing the album for the first time had me shook, but it had me grooving the whole time. It was just nice to hear the sounds of the culture. Being queer and black is already hard enough, but it’s good to be seen and heard during a time where the country is trying to take our rights. So I just want to say thank you Queen for your love and celebration of not only our blackness, but also embracing the LGBTQ+ community. #renaissanceworldtour taken in Lincoln Financial Field by @kevin.ray82

This was a long time coming … I’m grateful that I made it through. This journey has taught me a lot about myself and showed me that I can accomplish anything. Let me reintroduce to you who I am. I am Kevin Bruce Ray, Jr and I’m officially a Morgan State Alum 💙🧡🎓🙌🏾 This past year has been hard on all of us but nevertheless , we all persisted in our own ways. Being black in a society that belittles you and treats you like you are worth nothing makes graduating from college a even bigger accomplishment, I’m glad to be alive to experience this glorious moment and I thank God everyday for bringing me this far.
