10-19-95!! N A Today we celebrate 30 years Clean from any mood altering substance! Some days it seems like it was just yesterday that I was entering treatment on this journey of recovery!! I have so many people to thank who has helped me on this journey! First, my parents for never giving up on me even when I gave up on myself many many times! And my late sponsor Gordon Westby he wasn’t just my sponsor. He was like a father to me.! May you rest in peace, my friend!❤️ Most of all my higher power who I choose to call God this would not without your guidance and love and grace!💯 and of course, my former and current Sponsees that allow me to help guide them in the program of Narcotics Anonymous! And my home group the Sunday Night Candlelight meeting of Narcotics Anonymous for keeping me grounded! I remember my mother asking me one time when I had two or three years clean. How long do you have to keep going to those meetings?! Well 30 years and I’m still going mom!💯! I’m so grateful for the life. I have today pretty amazing! That an addict like me can continue to grow one day at a time that’s all we have! I hope and pray that this will give the newcomer some hope that they too can change their life one day at a time! through the program of Narcotics Anonymous! 🙏❤️💪💯 by @kevinaverett
